The real answer is probably a combination of both.
I think Upwork has higher prices and more longterm work which to me is more valuable. I'd rather have 2x250$ gigs than having 100x5$ gigs.

I pick fiverr.

I mean, fiverr also sucks. They all suck. The only thing that doesnt suck is having your own website, and being in control!

Thag said, i pick fiverr over upwork. On such sites i just wanna register, put up a few gigs and take it easy. Upwork looks and feels ridicoulous to me. Unnecessarily complicated.
