First Time Promoting Clickbank Affiliate Links On Youtube

Hello guys.

I have just joined the forum as I have been passively been looking into IM (Internet Marketing) for quite a while, but have never really took any action.
I'm also a member at the marketing Warrior fourm, but the thing that really annoys me about going on there, is that the people who post there seem to have a problem posting about how much they are making.
What's the big effing deal about that?
No one is asking them for their bank account number or anything, that's the sort of information that you NEED to keep to yourself.
I have read some posts about people making THOUSANDS of dollars a MONTH, from directing people to amazon.

I would like to get into that some time, but for now I want to try my hand at promoting products that are available from Clickbank on youtube.
There is no better place to promote something than youtube, because that's the first place people will go to, to try and see if someone else has made a video about what they're are thinking of buying.
I have done it MANY times.
I already have a plan as what to do.
I will promote five different products, from five different areas, that require a monthly payment for the service being offered from clickbank.

So not only will I be getting a percentage of a payment when they pay up front, but also get a percentage of payments that they make each month.
If I'm getting only 10 people for each service paying monthly payments, then I would be pretty happy with that.
I was wondering if there are certain things that I MUST make sure I do for people to find the videos that I'm going to be putting up youtube?
Or any other things that I MUST make sure I do?

Maybe first timers would find this thread useful when they are first looking to make money online?
I have explained in brackets what IM is, because IM involves A LOT of abbreviations which need to be made clear for first timers.

I wanted to post an update to what I've done so far.
I grabbed a video from the sales page in HD of the product that I am promoting, uploaded it to youtube, went to tinyurl and shortened my affiliate link and posted my shortened link in the video description.
Is there any particular way to name the video file name?

I remember reading somewhere about doing something like that, but for the life of me I can not find that information.
I feel that, that is going to be important for helping getting this video seen on youtube?

Yes, you need to introduce as money keywords of your product as possible. Still don't make it look to spammy. Make a legit title, something like: "How To Lose Weight - New Method 2012!". The youtube title, tags and description are very important. I would suggest you to read some Youtube SEO tips on how to rank your video. This will really help you!

Hey I was wondering if youtube counts your view whenever you look at your own uploaded videos?
I uploaded a video last night and I got one subscriber and 5 five views in total.
I'm sure that I have visited my video more than five times already.

I am using vagex and the details on how to use it are not very clear.
Does this program/FireFox add-on, help to get you views on your video?
I was asked to enter my ID, but is that the vagex or youtube ID that I have to enter?

I got one click on a product that I'm promoting on youtube.
I have put a link in the video description using tinyurl, so they must of clicked through that.

I have been checking up on the view count of my videos and for ONE of my videos, it's telling me that it has been watched 5 times.
But when I see my video in the search results, when I type in my keywords and see it listed with everybody else's, it says 35.
What the hell is up with that?
Am I going to have to search for my videos the same way everybody else is searching for a video, just to be able to see the real view count??

The view count may differ in the search results, sometimes it updates slower than on the video page (it's tipical on new videos), but sometimes it updates faster on the search results. There is no definitive rule fore this.

Has anyone thought about posting a video response to a video that has a lot of views on youtube?
I'm going to try that now, by posting my video that has my affiliate link in the description, to a video that has thousands of views that features a sexy lady.

Actually it is a good point about if you view a video yourself if it counts towards the actual view or not? Does it take into account the IP etc?

Yes, whenever you watch your own video for 30 seconds, it counts it as a view.
I just found that out.
How about this for an idea for getting guys to click on videos that you're using to promote affiliates links...

What about re-uploading a video of someone who is sexy?
I tried posting a video response to a video that had a sexy lady in it, but when I did that I got the "this will be posted as a video response as soon as the user confirms it" sort of message.
So, in order to get by that it might be a good idea to just re-upload a sexy video and put all the tags that are going to be used to find THAT video, and then post your own video as a video response that has the affiliate link in the description?

Yes they do.
I found out that whenever anybody watches a video for 30 seconds on youtube, it is counted as a view.
This includes you visiting your own videos.

Another thing I have noticed, is that when you try to post a video response to a video that you have posted, it doesn't come up.
What I was trying to do was re-upload a video that I know will be searched for and post a video response to that, to get people to click on the video that I have my affiliate link on.
Unfortunately it didn't work.

Are you looking for help and advice for marketing clickbank products via YouTube videos or just on YouTube like in comments? or are you just not sure and seeking advice for what is best for you?

I would suggest YouTube comments as you do not have to go through the hassle in creating videos. Shortly after you get established with a base of traffic and revenue being made, then you want to look into creating your own videos on the side and have them ranked on the side of the comments.

I am just trying to make money with affiliate links by posting them on youtube.
I thought that taking the videos from the sales and then uploading them up to youtube would of been a good way to go about it, but it's not going too well.
I thought I would at least try something, rather than doing nothing.

This sounds like a good idea.
I personally don't want to appear in any videos or even use my voice in them.

I have tried the method of just leaving my shortened affiliate link in the comments section, but youtube won't allow me to do so.
How do other people post their shortened links in the comments section?

make 30-40 videos on same niche and rank them all higher on youtube ..outrank your competitor ...try different experiment with different videos .
