You need to get on Upwork and:
1. Optimize your social media profiles (fb page, g+, LinkedIn, Twitter) and link to your upwork profile (majority of upworkers dont fully utilize linking to their profiles). (1 day)
2. Get on Contently and keep it updated with your portfolio. (1 day)
3. Spend your time bidding on work and sending in proposals. (1 hour a day)
4. Have no more than 5 samples of various types of content and/or niches. You can send someone in a proposal.
5. Build more than 100 hours of work and work towards 1,000 and stay above 90% satisfaction rate.
6. Have a nice smooth website with various portfolio pieces of every niche/type of content you have written for. (1 day-1 week)
7. Be available, agencies and employers want to see your skype, email etc.
8. Have a process, and communicate that process within your profile and website.
9. Educate your clients on your capabilities, put a sample customer avatar together in a blog post on your site, of the types of clients you work (or want to) with; while explaining the concept of a customer avatar.

10. Find all the other big and medium digital narketing services agencies and shadow them on social media and see if they are in need of a freelancer.
