Also if you go to Upwork or ghost write for an agency, you will have to figure your hourly rate, rate per 100 is a forum metric for analyzing writing costs it seems. If it takes you one hour to write 300 words; for a 1,500 word article your hourly would be $9 with a total project cost of $45, at a $3 per 100 rate.
Also dont forget to quantify your research, 1 hour worth of research per 1,000 words is good, 2-3 if it's of a highly technical nature. So 1.5 hours of research for the above example project would be an additional $13.50. So your true cost of your time for writing the project would be $58.50, but if you didnt factor the amount of research into a bid your hourly becomes $6.92, not $9. If a writer is gonna lose pay on a project it's gonna come from research and rewrites. Dont even get me going on transcribing....
