  • I have a site set up.
  • I’m a freelance writer as a side hustle.
  • I’m looking to blog.
  • I blogged many years ago for an already established reader base when I was graphic designing but when I stopped GD, I stopped the blog.
I have a site that, while I haven’t posted or listed it anywhere, is generating some traffic (super low traffic as it literally has nothing on it.. but the domain contains common words that are searched regularly enough). I want to move this into an income generator and build on that as I keep growing.

I picked the URL for a few reasons

  • Short and sweet
  • Searched often
  • It was available
  • It reflects my actual (non professional) personality
Problem is, when I first purchased, I intended to make it super adult oriented and just go the way of the porn business.

Then I started thinking that instead of porn, I could create more of a ‘the more you know’ site on sexual topics and added silliness for retaining readers.

Then, with the silliness aspect, I started thinking about a satirical site where it’s kind of ‘the onion’ or ‘cracked’ (before cracked went blah).

I feel I could be passionate about all these fields, enough to supply pretty constant content if I could pin down the right option.. but I just don’t know which way to take it.

Is there anyone that has handled many different niche sites that can give insight as to which of these are best for a new-to-blogging-in-the-2000s blogger?
