Finally got rid of google chrome :D

But as you use it you'll notice if you use your mouse scroll wheel when yourwyour scroll left and right through the windows, and if you double click a windows header it will expand or collapse/resize. Just little polishes like that that you kind of discover as you use it (I'm sure it's documented somewhere but I just kind of dove in lol)

Anyway glad you like it so far, I look forward to watching it grow - very solid start (Spotify issue is definitely lame). And agreed on the wide screen, I use it on a triple monitor setup and it's been fantastic.

The only thing I hope they will keep improving is speed and memory usage. I can feel it is slightly slow with lots of spaces and stacks. Haven't check the memory yet.

Yeah, I havent noticed any performance issues but I have lots of resources so haven't really thought to look too deep, and may not have enough stacked in spaces to cause issues. I could definitely see how having too many windows open could be a problem, especially when they allow things to run in the background more, so I agree with you completely.
 
I still like Chrome - but you should know that the Edge browser still dials home to Google.

Right now Chrome, Edge & Opera all use Chromium so they're all based on the same rendering engine by Google.

I am using Franz currently and it has been working great but development seems stalled cos its a one-man show developer so updates and new features are delivered slow as hell but nonetheless its a very useful app.

My question for Stack is if I purchase the lifetime plan without registering my email in the software program, can I just fill in my existing email and pay by Stripe then chuck the license aside (I don't plan to use it yet)? How is the license being delivered? Do I have to install the app in order to activate my account?

Honestly I'm not sure, your best bet is to reach out to their support team. I would hit up support through chat on their site, they seem like a cool group who would be happy to have your support and work with you on whenever you want to activate it after purchase so I would be surprised if there were any issues. That said - they can tell you what steps to take to ensure no problems down the road, whereas I would just be guessing, so I don't want steer you wrong - apologies I can't be of more help!

First of all, it is a memory hog. Google said that they will soon release a better version of chrome for Windows, that will take 25% less memory; but I did not see anything till now.

The second problem is the fact that Google wants you to stay logged into your browser all the time, so that they can track you better. To test my theory, log out of chrome browser, and try logging into gmail. You will automatically get logged into chrome. That's NOT good.

The third and the most important problem, is the fact that we all are trying to rank in Google here. I don't know about you, but I often do blackhat SEO. So, I don't want big G to track me further and kill all my sites. It's better to send data to microsoft in that sense, lol.

It didn't until I used EDGE. You can use all of your chrome extensions in EDGE now, without any issue whatsoever. Give it a try. As I said earlier, you won't be disappointed.

It's available for Windows, mac, ios and android right now. Although Safari isn't a bad choice at all for normal browsing (and not IM).

How do you deal with not having all those Chrome extensions? Not trolling, that's the only thing keeping me married to Chrome
