Unfortunately I had to switch back to chrome after getting a mac. The last time I tried edge on mac, it would throw weird exceptions and shut down all of a sudden while doing work. This is probably due to using apple silicon. Chrome on the other hand works relatively error free on my mac. However, I almost always use safari these days for normal web browsing. I only use chrome for dev work.I like edge, unlike google

hehe
However, I dont like the download mangaer hidden next to the URL Bar.
I feel more comfortable having it at the bottom
You have any ways to get around that?
As for your original question (not sure if you fixed)
@Gogol
Go into settings, search for Address bar
Change Search on new tabs uses search box or address bar, change it to address bar.

That should make all default searches google or whatever u set above
After reading this old thread, I am tempted to give edge a try again. Will find out if there’s a way to show the download button on the url bar.
