No, ofcourse not! I have genuine issues with Chrome. One of them being the fact that Google logs me into their browser forcefully, whenever I sign in to a google product.

I had to use them till now because they had the best looking browser (and JS engine) and the apps were useful.

I ditched them since edge can do the same now. I am not really concerned about microsoft tracking me, as I am not competing for bing anyway. I have been using windows 10 for the last 3 years without disabling anything.. Nothing has happened to me yet.

I am totally aware of this. Just that microsoft has nothing to do with my data except for delivering me targetted ads. Google on the other hand can detect blackhat stuffs I am doing and can tank my sites. If you use chrome with google products like g search, you are giving them lots of ways to track you even further.

Got the update too as anyone else, who gets updates for Windows. :) I read good things about this new Edge, but i'll stick with Chrome, it's just easier to use it across all of my devices. I dunno man, i'm quite cautious when it come to wan connections to my system. When I check edge using netstat, the number of connections goes through the roof for some reason. Never have this problem with firefox. Also if you've ever undertaken the laborious task of optimizing privacy measures on win10, which should've worked fine in theory, it practically becomes impossible to use the system. I think ms are ahead of everyone when it comes to measures to gaining intelligence on their own users.
I don't think think they were awarded a defence contract with the pentagon for nothing :D
 
If you are talking about tracking then chromium on edge is going to track you just as much as chrome is going too.

This was also the last nail in the coffin for me. :D I used to be a big privacy freak (nothing wrong with that as i still like privacy as long as it doesn't fuck with my productivity now). But after starting working with sites, SEO and stuff - i knew all the chrome tracking shit and how could i change it with plugins but that'd make chrome slow or webpages would take time to render as plugins run scripts on them. But after that forced-login i just had enough hehe :D

Just because i read a political or entertainment article yesterday - i don't want to know what trump ate today morning or what Leo is up to (or what Modi or Salman/Katrina is upto). Just don't force log me in and leave me to clear cookies and start afresh with a site :D
 
I did this too and I couldn't be happier. Changed it on my desktop, laptop, phone, and my relatives devices :))
 
I mean if privacy is your concern than the new edge is just as a spyware as Chrome, and you should switch to Firefox + Extensions + DuckDuckGo.
But, if you just hate Chrome, than yeah, the new edge is a great alternative :)

This, thanks for your info. I just grab a hold of this Stack Browser PRO. It's amazing to manage different accounts. I will see if they can advance forward.

I never understood why anyone gives a shit about being spied on. I use Chrome and couldn't care less if they are targeting me with adverts and stuff. It's a free service so why care if they want to build up some data and promote adverts to you.
 
Using Firefox and loving it... Was a mess to move the passwords from Chrome but totally happy with the result...

Haha very cool, i think y'all will like it! Glad to seem them gaining traction and generating some revenue, they're building something awesome.
