Finally got rid of google chrome :D

I've tried a bunch of different browsers but nothing seems to beat the speed and security of Chrome at the moment. Plus, I'm using an Android phone and a bunch of other Google products anyways so they already have most of my information/habits

I would love if i could quit chrome completely and move to Safari, but sadly I'm dependant on many of the extensions exclusively for chrome. How can some of you make such a huge sacrifice for basically the same experience with less spying?
 
I tried it a week ago and found it even better than chrome !
To the people who haven't tried it yet you really should give it a go

I like it, it was just getting into the habit of throwing it in place of Chrome. For those who are worried, Chrome and now Edge are both based on Chromium, they are the same (without the Google spyware in Edge).

If you go to Google.com in chrome, google actually has better way of tracking you; opposed to if you used EDGE for the same.

More over, it's fun seeing Google get furious on edge users. Microsoft has the better of it this time. :D

Last but not the least, it will come shipped with Windows. So, the non advanced users won't even have to download anything to surf. Win win.

Actually it's a good thing, google keeps on dictating the web with their amp and shit, no company should have so much control.
As a matter of privacy w10 is the worst of all kind lol, even if you block every tracking service/update they will roll back no matter what
I'm using brave atm and it's great, saw the affiliate bitcoin thing more than a month ago and it looked sketchy lol, i will give a try to edge, just updated
 
Edge has always been the best browser to download other browsers on a new pc.
glad to see them stepping up their game.
 
OP, are you the type of guy who reads the headline of 1 news article, freaks out and uninstall Chrome, but is still sharing your entire life on Facebook, Instagram, Snap, Tiktok and so on? I got news for you, if you own an iOS or Android device you are already sharing info way beyond what chrome will ever be able to do.

Not sure what spyware you are talking about, did I miss some recent news? Anyways, I'm still rocking Chrome.
 
Ditched chrome two months ago. EDGE Chromium is light weight and fast.
 
I did the same a few days back as well. Haven't uninstalled Chrome yet though, but have moved to Edge almost completely.
 
You switched from evil to another evil. Just use Firefox. Far better than Chroma and Edge. Focused on your privacy. If you really care about your privacy you will never use Windows 10 either.

Go to setting - find this setting -

Make sure it's "Address Bar" not "Search box (Recommended)". Lemme know if it helps :)

If you don't know the same guy built firefox, brave and JS. The guy is Brendan Eich (he was no little guy, he was the CTO of whole Mozilla). After Mozilla started getting funds from big corps (we kinda know why), he left mozilla and started brave.
 
You did it finally.. I realized this like a year ago and uninstalled Chrome. I am now using Mozilla, there is not much plugins, still I am good with it. I can feel my PCs speed difference, Chrome was taking all my CPU performance to itself all these days.
