Taking action is one of the most important steps in anything you set your mind to. I was sitting there watching YouTube videos like usual and found an interesting modded Skyrim video. It inspired me to start making my own videos.

This was the final straw.

I'm now recording, editing (takes lots of time) and uploading my own Let's Play videos and game guides. It's challenging, yet satisfying. I'm also playing different pc games, taking notes and writing in-depth reviews about them on my site.

Don't want to say the channel name yet. It'll likely take a full year to gain at least 1k followers, but that's to be expected. I don't feel lazy at all. In fact, editing videos could be its own job with the amount of effort and work that's needed.

That's so awesome! I'm glad you found your place. Just a heads up, I'm not sure which editing application you're using, but finding one that works well for you will make a huge difference. I'm pretty comfortable in Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects, but I know a lot of peoples' productivity would grind to a halt if they had to use them. It would be good to test out different applications if you don't have a ton of experience in video editing.

Congrats you find your way and your passion!
Right taking action is the most important and difficult thing. And remember, keeping the whole process running for years is also difficult but critical. Go ahead!

Heheh, I have a low-end laptop, so I could only work on the basic ones like WMM and Shotcut (which I use). For recording, I use Bandicam and OBS. I even tried streaming with Xsplit but was getting like 9 fps, rofl. For some reason, no matter which settings I use, YouTube still processes the vids in 480p. The only way to get 720p is to switch to Bandicam permanently, which is a shame because I hear MMORPGs work well with it.

One thing that slows down my editing time is the noise crackle/chirping that occurs while recording emulated games. I've only tried SNES, though. Other people experience similar issues.

I should be getting a new PC before the year is up, but I am not too sure about that.

YOu got a long way to go, but I am sure if that motivation keeps on fire you will get there in no time! Good luck

Clickbait em to death with lewd pixelated covers
YAS! Gonna add noodz in thumbnails for Nintendo games. I'll be the next Tara Babcock.

I don't get how she barely has any views.

Ahahahahahaha, lololololol, trolololol, awesome! :D
Lol, never seen you this excited over Todd Howard's elite Bethesda game.

Shh, No tears. Only dreams now.

Over a week later and I have to say that I'm really enjoying it. I sleep during the day and work at night. I'm actually looking forward to recording, editing and uploading videos. Also, today marks the 1 year anniversary since I made this account.

Started doing live commentary while playing. I'm seriously not in it just for the money, it's been something I should have done many years ago. Back in 2008-09 I uploaded certain video game soundtracks that no one else did. A few of those videos had over 100k views by 2010, but I eventually deleted them for some silly religious reason. Meanwhile, VGM channels like SilvaGunner (GilvaSunner) and SupraDarky, became what they are today.

I could have turned my old account into a video game and/or music channel, which would have probably monetized well. I had another account from 2006, but I deleted that one ages ago due to religious and political drama.

Here are my goals:

  1. 1k subs by July 2018
  2. 10k subs by July 2019
  3. 100k subs by July 2020
  4. 1m subs by July 2021
  5. 5m subs by July 2022
I give myself 5 years to reach 5m subs, lol. This should be an amusing experience. Meanwhile, I'll have other projects to work on.~
Here's to another year of learning and living. :)

I always liked to play with girls.
But I failed creating "a channel" for it.

Same! Gonna invest in my love, online business #1

Every failure is a stepping stone to your first success ! Sometimes this forum gives you wings.

Good luck! It's good to see you found something you like to do :p

You should open a thread in the journey section for it. Would be interested to know how it will work for you.
