Feature Request: A Newbie’s Resource Hub for Faster Learning

Hello BHW Team,

As a newbie to the forum, I’ve found a ton of helpful info, but sometimes it feels a bit overwhelming to get started. I wanted to suggest creating a Newbie’s Resource Hub or a New User Guide that’s easily accessible for people like me who are just diving into the world of SEO, digital marketing, and other topics.

Here’s what I think could help:

1. Step-by-Step Tutorials: A compilation of guides covering the basics (e.g., setting up websites, SEO basics, using tools, etc.). Having these resources in one spot would save us a lot of time searching through threads.
2. Newbie Networking: A space where newcomers can introduce themselves and connect with others who are also starting their journey. This could help build a stronger sense of community and provide opportunities for collaboration.
3. A No Question is Too Basic Zone: A section where we can ask beginner-level questions without feeling like we’re asking something obvious. It would be reassuring to know we’re in a judgment-free zone while learning.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this!

We do have things that are similar to what you’re asking.

Firstly, our newbies guide is second to none. It’s mainly about forum etiquette & things related to the forum, but still contains a vast amount of info: https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/newbie-guide.242/

Secondly, in a few of the sections on the forum, there are threads which are “stuck” to the top that are beginner’s guides. The making money section and BH SEO section have guides that I’ve written as well as other members have written.

I’m going to leave this thread up as the community manager, forum owner, and/or admin may want to weigh in here.

The only note I have to add to this is that we can't create a resource hub for learning internet marketing topics as the industry changes too fast for us to be able to keep these guides updated.

What you can do instead is go to your favourite subforum and check out the sticky guides in those sections. Alternatively, you can read the newsletter for the latest guides posted each week.
