ok on sept 9th i ordered a new psu for my wifes new pc it arrived on sept 15th.
now after it arrived i realized i had ordered an under powered psu.
ebuyer rules state - returns must be within 14 days , but as many of you no here
i suffer with lower back spinal discs problems, and some times i cant get out

so - i phoned ebuyer last Friday once i was back on my feet and explain ide been unable to
get to the post office to return the psu and yes im 3 weeks late but im hoping they
will take into consideration my back problem, my first reply back from ebuyer said

being penalized for being un able to get out was like a red flag to a bull , so i replied
and thanked them for there sympathetic view to my being 3 weeks late and rather than
be seen as a decent company to do the right thing - they quoted fcking rules in stead
i politely told them - my next step was trading standards .

between last Friday and today waiting to here back from ebuyer i also emailed the company
that make the psu and i told them how ebuyer where being a little over stubborn with there
product - i told them all i wanted to do was return it, pay the difference for the same brand but
higher wattage psu which it seems ebuyer wouldnt do.

today i got a reply from the psu company OCZ

    Hey,

result - i have to pay to send it back - but there gonna do the psu upgrade from 500w-600w free
that should have cost an extra 30 pounds .... fck ebuyer and good on the psu maker to do the right thing.,

    RESULT.

Sorry about your health issues but nevertheless I think you're wrong. Either way, it was nice of the manufacturer to do this.

please explain how i am wrong i bought a psu - returns must be done
within 14 for any reason - i was stuck between the couch and bed because of
my back spasm making it only 3 weeks late - making it impossible to get
to the post office in time to mail it back within the 14 days.. explain why
you think there right to say fck you 14 days byby.. thats calas on ther part.
and any company not taking into account why is stupid.
yet the company who make the psu agreed with me - yet the company selling
the product after a week of fighting them had to think about it

First of all you weren't being penalized for your health issues. Business is business and in their eyes this could have been a lie, people lie about much worse things, even death of their own relatives. I'm somewhat confident that many other companies would do the same thing and they would not offer you a refund or an exchange. As mean or as cruel as this may sound, most large scale businesses don't care about who you are or what your problems may be, a policy is a policy. It's not your fault but nor is it the companies fault. Don't you have any relatives or anyone that could have helped you out?

I personally wouldn't have taken it back either. Your wife could have quite easily taken it to the post office surely OR you could have asked for ebuyer to arrange a collection too. Their policy is 14 days which is more than double what the distance selling regulations were to begin with.

    1 - i have documented proof i was incapacitated from a hospital
2 - anyone here who knows me well knows i have a back problem .
3 lying isnt in my nature - its my blunt say it how it is that gets me into trouble.

4 - next time your stuck between a couch and a bed for 3 weeks unable to move
tell me if the first thing on your mind is mailing a psu or getting better - you have your
priority wrong and they way you think that people always lie is wrong as well.

its a good job my problem is known on bhw

thankfully i now have 2 options because ebuyer have replied after 7 days tonight

any good customer service will take into account the validity of the problem
proof where needed - and a little understanding .

I hope you take this the right way but its truly up to you. I feel that your back pain is completely affecting your mental health. I realize how much pain you are in and we all here feel bad for you but I think you have to look at this like shadedream mentioned as a company is not responsible for your health when it comes to returning a product. If I bought proxies from you and I couldn't use them cause I was in the hospital would I get a refund? Maybe you would be nice enough to do it but you really don't owe that to me nor does any service provider as its up to their discretion. Again, I hope i am not coming off harsh just saying maybe take a vacation or do something special to take your mind off of all the things you have to go through. We all have something its how we handle it in this lifetime is how it counts. I wish you nothing but good fortune.

I'm sorry about your back problem but do you think the whole world owes you? With that statement, you want every one to bend over backwards (no pun intended) for you.

I have read your posts about your back pain and I am sorry but dude, live with it! My dad has cancer and I dont expect anyone to come give me shit if I can't get out of bed and neither do you. Grow up! People like you who think the whole world owes them for their pain and misery.

He did nothing wrong and you are crazy if you think you were entitled to anything in this instance.

no i think a little common sence doesnt go amiss
a person cant physically get to the post office for being home
restricted for a couple of weeks - a good company would take that
into consideration and not just say thats our rules ...
my point is a simple one - theres times when the rules apply and
there should be times when exception is given and common sense
    applys....

but its resolved both the supplier and seller have seen sense
to do the right thing . problem sorted .
