I want to eat pork and bun now.
I want to eat pork and bun now.
One of my worse has been porkbun, I already lost 3 domains to them this year alone. The worst? Hostgator, hostmonster, and all their related companies. My clients' websites are hosted with them due to promotional discounts and I had the worst nightmare asking them for support. When asked for a backup restoration, they said it will cost me. Or when they can't figure out the issue, they will just abruptly leave the conversation or hook me up with another rep. I always have to prepare a glass of wine when dealing with them.
What happened? So we can stop doing business with them. One of my worse has been porkbun, I already lost 3 domains to them this year alone.
I thought I am the only one using dynadot here.Dynadot and Namesilo are my favourite
At times, their website is a complete disaster alone to get into. (Not always, but not being available 24/7 or close to it is an issue imo)What happened? So we can stop doing business with them.
maybe later today or tomorrowwell, waiting for the another story for another thread
I would agree had same sort of issues as you with Porkbun for why I don't like using them much anymore. At times, their website is a complete disaster alone to get into. (Not always, but not being available 24/7 or close to it is an issue imo)
When they do "promos" or "free domains" etc, their website constantly crashes (for me).
Or, takes forever to even get back inside.
I have constant trouble trying log in, it CONSTNATLY tell me my password is wrong.
No, it's not wrong, I copy pasted the password that I just reset 2 minutes ago cuz you told me it was wrong.
In fact, I don't even think I have logged in before using my password because it just deems it as wrong.
Or their freaking captcha keeps telling me I'm a god damn bot.
At times, these "Password reset" emails take over 12 hours to deliver to my email (both Outlook or gmail providers).
Luckily for me, I have stopped business with them a while back, and the domains I have lost are the "free" promos ones I got during Christmas.
Last time I tried to log in, since i needed to change NS for 1 domain

Yeah, I already went to sleep by then
However, if I look over all this, they weren't a bad provider.
maybe later today or tomorrow
can't be bothered atm
Yeah, namecheap for me too..What's your favorite domain registrar and why?
As always, complying with our Lounge Lord @TheVigilante, I shall start
Mine is Namecheap
Why?
It's simple easy to access and constant discounts, actually now I think about it, that's a bad thing.
I have way more domains than I can ever use cuz of the constant ongoing discounts... well whatever, anyways
Support is pretty fast and usually always very responsive, although, I personally have never ran into any troubles with them in the domain area.
No, don't ask about the hosting there, that's another story for another thread.
I wouldn't think twice about moving if I had the same experience as you did.I am glad their supports works for you.
For me, it was a complete hassle, I remember when it was much simpler contacting them in the past. Now days, their live chat is hidden (for me) and even when calling, I have to wait forever to get someone who could barely speak English (I live in Australia, I dont expect perfect English support when I call their Australia line, but I expect someone who has a decent level at least to be taking calls) or they simply have zero idea what I was talking about, at worse sometimes both.
I moved every domain out of godaddy a few years ago
However, I am still glad they work out for some people![]()
How fast does their DNS resolve?Porkbun - it’s cheap and good service
