What's your favorite domain registrar and why?

As always, complying with our Lounge Lord @TheVigilante, I shall start

Mine is Namecheap
Why?
It's simple easy to access and constant discounts, actually now I think about it, that's a bad thing.
I have way more domains than I can ever use cuz of the constant ongoing discounts... well whatever, anyways

Support is pretty fast and usually always very responsive, although, I personally have never ran into any troubles with them in the domain area.

No, don't ask about the hosting there, that's another story for another thread.

Uniregistry.

Clean, mobile friendly, easy to purchase and manage domains.

Godaddy recently acquired Uniregistry. Hopefully it stays the same but not sure what future brings for them under Godaddy.

Oh lord! Domestic registrars offer the best deals for me.

Their support is second to none.
I am glad their supports works for you.
For me, it was a complete hassle, I remember when it was much simpler contacting them in the past. Now days, their live chat is hidden (for me) and even when calling, I have to wait forever to get someone who could barely speak English (I live in Australia, I dont expect perfect English support when I call their Australia line, but I expect someone who has a decent level at least to be taking calls) or they simply have zero idea what I was talking about, at worse sometimes both.

I moved every domain out of godaddy a few years ago :anyway:

However, I am still glad they work out for some people :p

For domains I quite like porkbun. Simple to use and cheap. 8 bucks a .com, ICANN and the necesary shit included, no upsells nor sneakiness, no horrible surprises a year later.
I want to eat pork and bun now.

Cloudflare Registrar, you have to transfer your domains (can't register), but they offer wholesale prices, and you can disable the CDN if you don't want it. It also has all the needed security features for no extra cost.

Same, I love Namecheap!

I´ve used a lot of registrars over the years, from Joker, Network Solutions, GoDaddy, later on NameCheap, but moved on to NameSilo that is the most stable with no hickups in payments and so on. I´ve also tried a lot of other newer ones, but since a couple of years I only use NameSilo now, so they are my favorite registrar now.

namecheap for sure.
besides their pricing, whois guard is always included
stay away from godaddy, worst service in the industry

My favorite is Namecheap because everything is super easy from domain registration down to changing the DNS. They don't annoy you with upsells unlike GoDaddy. And they offer great discounts and promos from time to time.

My next favorite is Porkbun. No frills process just like Namecheap but their domain management is slightly less user friendly.

Namesilo is also good but their UI is outdated.

My favorite is google domains because of the free domain privacy, fast dns servers, and really simple domain redirects.

I'd say Namecheap and Porkbun. Stay the fuck away from GoDaddy, they are the worst with hidden charges, upselling and horrible renewal plans, while I was new to IM, GoDaddy was the only option I saw due to their heavy advertising. A domain I purchased initially, it was $8 for the first year, but after an year, it shot upto $20 and also lost a domain in auction due to their shitty behaviour. Fuck them.

I use namecheap, namesilo, internet.bs, porkbun. And godaddy since I got some auction domain, but I don't like 'em.
