There is no such thing as fastest webhosting. Get a VPS or a cloud from google or amazon and manage it alone. Thats the fastest host uoubcan get:)

Did you manage them without Cpanel or you bought a Cpanel license with them? I haven't used a VPS before, and I'm guessing it might not be easy to manage without Cpanel. The Cpanel license comes at an extra $16 a month

Does Vultr have servers outside Europe? I live in Africa

I know site speed is a function of several factors, some of which have nothing to do with the host. However, I am sure some members here have tried one or two hosts and can recommend the fastest they've experienced. As for Google and Amazon clouds, can I host my simple Woocommerce site on it like a normal webhost? Sorry if my question is too noobish. If I don't ask like this, I won't learn.

Then my suggestion is to buy a vps install nginx on it, and your woocom store will run like a charm,
at least 2 gb ram and 2 cores vps will work, for pricing and offers i would suggest you to visit hosting section of marketplace of bhw, you will find many great deals.
Choose from bhw so that at least you will feel safe instead of buying from market directly.

WPX hosting is the best out there when it comes to WordPress...what you said about them has got to be the ONLY negative review even though you blindly said that :)

Blindly? Lol. I suppose that's a blind assumption. I used Google PageSpeed Insights to test the first three sites on their customer review page and wasn't impressed with the results.

I know webmasters generally disregard PageSpeed Insights data, but I noticed a correlation between their data and Gtmetrix data, at least for my sites; and somehow, I prefer PageI because it reports tends to be more critical, in a manner of speaking. Nevertheless, I'll do as you have suggested and see if there'll be any significant difference.

You can try godaddy. I have built many websites with this company. My experience is they are very reliable and affordable

    fastest.. hmmm

    Depends on:
hardware, resources , connectivity, location , configuration, optimizations.

There is no default answer for "Which is the fastest provider" as the answer lies on the above factors.

Just because one provider is "fast" for someone (his platform/script and configurations) it doesn't means that will be fast for YOUR needs.

You see.. hostgator doesn't have the best rep here but again... there are people who loves them.. (And they do have some "rare" good servers).

What I would recommend is to go with provider with datacenter near or between your targeted audience location ... SSD or NVM storage , at least 100Mbps connectivity , XEON CPUs .

    As always, good luck
