As the title suggests,, looking to find best web host among the one's I shortlisted.

I have shared hosting with Dreamhost and its good but I am looking for a better and faster web hosting service. I use it mostly for niche sites and all of them use WordPress CMS. I think SiteGround is a good fit but want to know if there are any other hosts which are faster and have a good uptime and support.
I have shortlisted, SiteGround, Servikus, hawkhost and hostwinds. Can anyone who used these hosts throw some light on speeds, bandwidth, service would be appreciated and helpful.

Note: I did search the forum to find the answer but didn't find a proper one yet so starting this thread.

Why not give each a try for a month and see. Every person that has a site will have different performance based on there site, settings and so on.

Paying on a month basis for 5 different hosts and transferring 5 different times seems absurd.

I'd just read the reviews for each host and make the plunge on one.
 
no need to transfer. Just set the same site up on test domains at each host and test it out. Most host offer a 30 day trial on shared hosting so really you are only out some time test out to find which location and host works best for you.
 
I know about the trail but it would take a lot of time to test each host and sometimes speeds are good initially and drop after a period of time(read about this a lot) so wanted to know real time experience of users who already used it for a considerable time period.
 
I'm using Dreamhost and are pleased with their service. Don't know about the others though..
 
Tried both hostwinds and siteground on two different sites, I liked hostwinds lightspeed servers, you can't memcache until you get a dedicated server. Siteground managed hosting had nginx servers and were surprisingly fast.
 
OVH and Liquid web. Both are fast. From your list, I have tried hawkhost, and I was happy with their speed.
 
If you are on tight budget, namecheap would be best option for you. From your list, HostWinds is reliable.
 
The fastest hosts for me are: kvchosting.net and hostsailor.com.
Work good and have low prices.
