Is it even worth it to buy views likes and comments anymore? or is it a complete waste of money? I've been contemplating doing this for a while now but there's just so much conflicting information out there. Please let me know your opinions thanks.

Depends on your goals. If you buy likes, views, and comments and expect sales without any sort of paid ads, you should rethink your strategy. Buying engagement is a way to self-promote your Social Image. Just think to yourself for a second.

If you owned a e-commerce website, and ran ads through instagram but your Instagram has no followers, would you buy from it? If I saw a company with low followers, I would think it is not established. Therefore, I would not convert.

BUT, if you got my attention, and got me to click, charged your ad account, landed on your profile page and had loads of followers and all around engagement, I would be more likely to convert and click the link in the bio.

Make sense?

Yeah I get what you’re saying. What’s your advice for a (youtube) compilation channel? Should I try buying engagement or should I just try to grow organically?

That also depends on many factors... Are you using any sort of method to bring in money for the channel? is it monetized? Do you have affiliate links that make money in your descriptions? Do you have a budget to invest in?

I created a thread with some tips on how to properly use the SMM service.

Hope it helps

if you have the budget to spend then try it and see how it work but I doubt it will do any good over a compilation channel since mostly those kind of channels get views from suggested tab and hardly any viewer checks the amount of engagement they are getting.

But if your channel would be in a niche like product reviews or something then engagement will help increase the credibility of your video.

I was wondering the same but for youtuber type of channel that relies a lot on suggested videos and real followers engaging.
What is the best stratedy for a channel like that?

Definitely helps in turning a person into a potential customer.

a lot of people buy views even the popular channels do. Most do to get initial traffic to their channel. Then stop once they start getting normal views. Still, youtube is not very predictable these days. You could get in trouble if you re not sure what you re doing.

For social proof - yes.
For growing - no.
