Facebook Page Hacked. Wtf happened?

This is why you never give anyone admin or content creator unless you can personally trust them. It's hard I know because you don't always have time to post. You could always set up automated updates to save the time.
 
Has an ending of a fan page url anything to do with phishing methods when it ends with ?group_id=0 ? There is a lot of activity still going on, even with out people being contect creators ... so far they know who the admin is and has clicked on a link they get your password.
 
i know sometimes a lot of work just takes a different direction than the one you had in mind.. keep trying to get it back man..

UPDATE:
So I got my page back. Here is how I got it :D
I contacted the hacker from another girl id on facebook, and this is what I messaged him-

It has come to my notice that you have illegally stolen the page addressed to *my page name*
I have proof of your activity and the proof that you removed *my name* from admin.
I am a california based lawyer currently working for cyber crime branch.
*My name* has asked me for help and I thereby put two options in front of you.
Either you give back the page to the owner and there will be no action taken from our side.
In case you fail to do it, we need to report this as crime activity under republic act no. 10175 proposed by phillipines govt.
This will count as cyber crime for identity theft and illegal access to data.
My facebook authorities in phillipines will have your account suspended including your twitter and 2 youtube accounts.
In case you refuse to do this you will face 3 years of jail.

While I was thinking what to write next, I got a notification that I was made the manager of my page.
That was quick :P

Must be quite a relief! That was a good idea to pull the power attorney card on him. I hope this serves as notice to all FB page admins to guard the keys to the fortress!

I know, I was pretty lucky, he seemed like a kid 16 or 17 years old.

Glad you got your page back and your situation answered a question I've had in the back of my mind... namely whether the 'content creator bugs' have been worked out yet. I have a FB page that I've been starting to grow and was considering outsourcing some of the content creation - obviously doing so would put the page at risk to crap like this.

Don't let any outsiders be a content creator or anything else on your page, they will first try to hack your own personal account through social engineering then take the pages from there, its gotten pretty common.

@oldsalt you should schedule posts and just pay perhaps for people to email you the content (if it can't be Googled). Don't let anyone be inside your page anyway.

Yep, I've been using the scheduled posts although I find it annoying. Why I have to select the Year (2013 is the only option but still must be selected), then the month, then the day, then the hour and minute - even if I am scheduling the post for later today?? Ridiculous! Why can't it at least pre-populate today's date? Ok, /rant...

Yeah I hate that too. But then it is the way fb works :/
May be a bot that can do the scheduling stuff will make our work easy. Images can be ripped off pinterest, tumblr and instagram.
An other option is using IFTTT, where content is posted automatically via rss or when we make a post on our wordpress site. They have other options too. Worth checking out :)
