Facebook page + Facebook Apps - how to promote them?

Hi guys,

I have several Facebook apps, but until now I cannot get a good traffic for them. Also, I have a Facebook page with a few ten-thousands fans.
How can I promote my apps on this page?

It seems that the only way is just to post the link to the app on the wall... I have been looking for a way, how to send the a message about an app to all my fans, but Facebook removed the ability to contact fans straight through the messages...

Do I have any other option?

Have you tried advertising the app using Facebook's platform? This could be a solution. You could also post links to the app on other social media networks or on a website that you own. The idea is to get exposure in multiple channels.

I didn't try advertising with the FB platform... I wanted to try all free ways to promote it, but probably is time to invest some amount into the promotion.
