You should create both: a page to attract newcomers and a group to maintain the community; however, if you only have the resources for one, choose the page.

I’d personally go with a group if the main goal is building a real community. Pages are great for posting content and getting reach, but groups usually get better discussions and engagement. You can also use both together if possible.

I’d use a Page for reach and a Group for community. The Page is easier to discover and scale, while the Group takes more moderation but usually builds stronger loyalty. If you had to pick one, what matters more to you—fast growth or an active community?

If it were my area of expertise, I would choose a Facebook page because it is easier to manage.
