Facebook groups vs pages

I often use small groups to connect with people; this approach allows for clear task allocation and encourages greater contribution from members. While getting started might be more challenging than with a standard page, I believe it is a better approach in the long run.

Both can work, but I’d choose based on the goal. Groups are better for building an active community and discussions, while pages are easier to manage as a central place for content and updates. For a niche audience, starting with a group can be useful if community engagement is the main priority

If your main goal is to reach and grow your following, I recommend starting with a Facebook Page. Once you have a certain number of followers, if you want deeper discussions and a stronger community around that topic, you should add a Group

For building an audience around their niche, would you choose to make a Facebook page or create groups to build and grow your community?

I can see the benefits of each one, but I am curious as to which is easier to grow and maintain.
Some people say that creating multiple high-quality groups can generate income

I would choose a Facebook Group if the primary goal is to build and grow a long-term professional community. While groups are harder to grow initially than pages, once members are on board, they foster better engagement and community retention.

What is your area of expertise? The choice of prioritizing groups vs. pages depends entirely on your core goals and the stage of your channel's development.

I think if you have some members or friends then a group is growing quickly. Because without a team a single person can not grow a group. And for page is really difficult nowadays to grow.

Fb pages more effective, try get followers at the first and then inbite your followers to join your group

A Facebook Page is a more suitable option for easily reaching new users. If you prioritize building a small, close-knit community with lots of two-way interaction between members who share niche interests, you can start with a group.

I think you should work with a Facebook group. Because in that group there will be many people interested in your content and wanting to develop it.

I’d personally go with a Facebook Page first if the goal is to build an audience around a specific niche. Pages are easier to promote, content can reach people outside your existing audience, and you can use ads if needed.

Once you have some audience, creating a Group can be a great next step because it helps build a more engaged community and encourages discussion. So I’d say: Page for reach, Group for engagement/community. Ideally, use both together.

Combine both - use a Page to drive mass traffic and Reels, then route your most engaged followers into a private Group.

I'd probably start with a Page if the main goal is reaching new people, then add a Group once there's enough activity to justify it. Pages are easier for publishing content and attracting followers, while Groups seem better for actual discussion and keeping people engaged. I've found that an empty Group can be harder to grow than an active Page, so I'd be curious what others have seen — if you had to choose only one with a brand-new niche and zero audience, which would you pick?

In my opinion, creating a Facebook group page will be more effective and convenient for scaling the business later on.

Posting useful content while taking the time to respond to people can help build stronger relationships over time.
