For building an audience around their niche, would you choose to make a Facebook page or create groups to build and grow your community?

I can see the benefits of each one, but I am curious as to which is easier to grow and maintain.

The key to Facebook is to post frequently and interact with others rather than simply post and go.

if you are looking to build a community or manage a club, you need a Facebook Group. it is a space where everyone is on equal footing and can interact with one another.

I would say pages are easier to maintain than groups. Go for groups if you have time, energy and support for moderation

groups make more sense when the niche depends on discussion and shared experiences a page can attract attention, but a group gives people a reason to come back

a page would be the best place to start followed by a group when u already have some followers. groups are great community builders although they require more mainttenance than pages.

If the goal is to build a community around a niche, I would start with a Facebook Page and develop a Group later
Page to attract - Group to connect - Website/store to convert

i would say start with a facebook page because it’s easier to grow and manage and once you have a decent audience you can create a group to build a more engaged community.

If you want to build and develop a community, I think creating a group is a good idea. You can create a close-knit community where people interact and discuss a common topic.

For long-term growth, I’d start with a Page and use Groups to build deeper engagement around the niche.

Both Facebook pages and Facebook groups have their own effectiveness, but to succeed, you need to invest time and effort to get feedback and attract more viewers.

If people in your niche want to talk to each other, start with a Group it will build engagement faster with less content. If you are more focused on reach and later will monetize via ads, start with a Page.

Building a group will take longer because you cannot simply use advertising dollars to grow it in the way that you can with a Facebook page however, the benefit is that the engagement will be a lot higher and because you’re building an actual community you’ll have substantially more trust with the people you engage with in the group.

I think it depends on the niche. if people like to discuss and share things, a group is better. if you mainly want to build reach and promote the brand, I would start with a page.

Groups are better if you want discussion and direct interaction with members, while pages are more useful for building a public presence around a brand or business. I’d choose based on the goal: community and engagement for a group, visibility and updates for a page.

If you are a business, you should choose a Fanpage. Its organizational capabilities, themed posts, and event creation create a professional and trustworthy image.
