Facebook group development ?

Hi everyone!
Has anyone here ever grown a Facebook group to over 10,000 members? I'd love to hear about your real life experiences.
here I am.. built a few 10k+ niche groups over the last year.
the fastest organic method is leveraging FB's recommendation feed by keeping engagement rates high.
do not dump links, ask open-ended questions, run polls and host files in the Featured section. u also need to cross posting valuable content to related public group and linking yours in the comment

Nice! What niches are you in and how do you monetize your groups?

getting to 10k members is one thing, keeping them active is a whole different challenge. i'd focus on getting the first few hundred members genuinely involved before worrying about big numbers. a group where people regularly ask questions and help each other can grow a lot more naturally than one where only the admin keeps posting.

It sounds gud on paper having 10k member but i would see how many people actualy reply without being reminded to lol, a smaller crowd will bring in more traffic for sure.

Naturally, this process takes about a month, but it requires a well structured plan everything from what to post and the frequency of posts to the specific topics must be clearly mapped out. Are you using this as a personal page, or are you looking to monetize it through views?

One thing that I think people dont realise is that members join bcz of the topic but they stay because of the people, once uhh get some regulars chatting every day things arent as forced.

the best growth usually comes when members have reason come back instead just joining and leaving.try starting discussions around things your audience already cares about and encourage members share their own experiences.once people begin interacting without you having to start every conversation the group becomes much easier grow.

The key is choosing a clear niche and giving members a reason to participate regularly. Invite relevant people, post useful discussions, and keep the group active rather than focusing only on hitting 10,000 members.

it sounds good to have 10,000 members but i would rather know how many of them are really participating. do u see any difference in terms of efficiency between giving people an incentive to post by themselves verssus when admins do all the postings?

stick mostly to e-com sub-niches (streetwear & menswear) and local performance mkt. monetization is 80% email capture through member entry question and 20% pinned featured posts/aff drops

10k member sound impressive but pay more attention how many actually take part without admin having push every discussion. a smaller group with active members bring more value than a huge one where most people just sit quietly.

Don’t just chase a high number of members. A group of 3,000 people who engage with one another regularly can be more valuable than a group of 10,000 with little to no interaction.

Building and maintaining a team of over 10,000 people is difficult if you lack perseverance and investment of time and effort. Without creating open topics that encourage interaction and exchange, your team may stop growing and fail to develop further.

Getting members to answer each other’s questions would be my first goal. For anyone who passed 10k, where did the first active members come from, and how much daily moderation was needed?

In the early stages, when the group is small and few people spontaneously comment, what methods do you usually use to "trigger" initial discussions?
