can anyone explain me how the app developer gets money by creating an application, e.g. "Your Daily Horoscope", which appears daily on user's profile wall. how does this generate money?

is it a big secret???
the only thing i know that those apps on daily basis keep the users to spend much time visiting or revisiting their profiles

They usually have some form of adverts on them, adsense etc. Its usually plastered across the apps, so they must get alot of clicks. Sometimes the ads link to other apps, so they get a big chain of users who are subscribed to several applications.

Yeah they put adsense to get the high shares and likes along with them.

and those who want to advertise something pay apps developers to create such apps?
