The new iOS 15 update will render metrics like open rate irrelevant. And some of the recent Facebook issues might push marketers to focus on email marketing. And IMO, brands might invest time on wisely segmenting their audience on email platforms.

What do you think?

PS. And oh, I'm strictly referring to running ads on Facebook (Facebook, Instagram, etc).

as far as I'm concerned, email marketing is better because if you have a really good list, you can make $ 1000 from even the simplest crypto with 1 person, of course, it depends on the strength and quality of your list, but the decision is yours, my friend, you know better what to do yourself

I think in due to time Facebook will have to change their strategy, right now, they are basically restricting you until you prove that you have not violated their polices, while it should be the other way, be 100% sure before restricting. I'm not evening talking about FB's constant bugs, which sometimes puzzles me considering the resources available to them. I guess what I'm saying is that I doubt that such a huge platform will just become irrelevant for marketing.

I won't say email marketing is better than FB Ads on all occasions because FB Pixel and audience preparation granularity is much more advanced than any other streams in this marketing world. Yes, it's agreed that for the last years FB Ads were annoyed by iOS updates and certain policies (you can make over them by adding the concurrent actions in events manager).

Here answering the question, Email marketing works successfully by following some strict actions such as in, pick an email engine by its capability of SSL, Whitelabel IPs, Spam checkers, and many security parameters included (so can the email campaign opening ratio will be higher and it won't land on spams or restricted inbox). Secondly, creatives play a vital role and marketers should make sure the target audience will land on their creatives for further actions.

Thirdly, audience list. Are they from your customer list or shared customer list between your group of companies or collaborated list with other companies? If not those lists obtained from the random will go for spamming or the whitelisting ratio will drop down. So do the email campaigns with consciousness and make sure you run regular funnel-type campaigns to the audience from registering a brand to landing in conversion.

That's genuine spammy sales emails invading our inbox are an annoyance we've all experienced at one point. So you might be amazed to discover that email can be a remarkably effective purchase driver.

Email marketing has its strengths; Facebook advertising has its advantages, being a good driver of awareness, engagement, and shareability.

If you've got the budget, Facebook advertisement is a wonderful starting point to drive new traffic to your website. At the same time, email is an excellent clincher that drives conversions, leads, sales, and retention.

With the right email list, email marketing is great. But I think with facebook ads the success happens earlier.

With email marketing you own an asset (your list), you have the ability to deliver your message anytime you want to and it's cost effective if you do it the right way, by anytime you want I don't mean spamming your list.

You can combine Email marketing with FB Ads and build lookalike audiences if you want to.

Email is close to being ignored totally by users. It is somehow personal emails were opened these days.

e.g. in local investing services niche, email marketing works like 10x better than running fb ads
