EZineArticles GOING DOWN!!!

i hope they dont because most of my income is from there

It's never a wise idea to put your eggs all in one basket!

I was making a mint on eBay local Classified Ads in the UK and then, with almost no notice, they ended all local classifieds!! Similarly, with Docstoc when they de-activated all the links in the articles.

You need to be one step ahead of the game so, if I were you, I would be looking at generating additional income streams, in case something does change.

- This article on Google got him 952 clicks with a crazy click through rate of 91%.

To be fair though PPCMaster, you have to admit that that is an exceptional performance and is not the norm for the vast majority of their articles.

952 clicks is quite exceptional alright. I was only hinting that Ezine is still gold on many less explored niches. We tend to generalize when we make our observations.

I recently got 25 articles approved on Ezine for a customer of mine. His site is about 13 weeks old. There are over 2 million sites competing for his keywords.

Here is the summary of the results:
- 1 of the 25 articles ranks 5th on Google as of today.
- This article on Google got him 952 clicks with a crazy click through rate of 91%. It is sure bound to get him more in the coming days.
- 6 of the 25 articles ranks right on top of Ezine search results for his keyword. These articles also feature right on top of the 'related articles' list.
- These 6 articles collectively have little over 550 clicks.
- All of these 25 articles are indexed on Google, Bing/Yahoo
- Over 13 of these articles are already showing up in the back link report for his site.

This customer had no other forms of SEO done to his 13 weeks old site prior to ordering from us. This was the only SEO thing he ever did on his site besides ensuring 'on page' SEO elements were in place.

Is Ezine really dying for this customer? Go figure!

Challenge: Two weeks from now, report back to us if those clicks are still coming in 'more'.

Truth is, people see this push in the first days of an article there, then it drops right off into nothingness sometimes.

If I had Ezine, instead of having an editorial staff, it would be easier to have a bunch of people click on new articles and then make it look like they are a great traffic source. Before anybody says this is paranoid or some kind of conspiracy theory, please consider this. Can you think of any legitimate campaign that actually solicits a CTR that high? Even the crappiest ad network in the world would call out 'bull-shit' on whatever it was. Something is 'grey' about what you are describing, and as we all know, these companies that seemingly have authority are certainly not passed doing grey tractics to manipulate their positions. eBay did it, facebook did it, and yes, even google did it to yahoo. Don't put it past a little article directory. :) To be further critical, maybe this is what the 'editorial' staff is actually busy doing instead of really working on the articles.

If I am off on this, then please forgive my misunderstanding. However, this Article to Clicks Boost phenomina happens to a lot of people when they get started with Ezine. Ironicly enough, it doesn't happen so much with other networks. Even though they are just as effective at gaining the rankings similar to what you described.

I'm sure your client is happy as can be now. Give it a few weeks and see where its at.

I prefer hubpage. Because I can put 2 of my do follow link in each post if my author's score is more then 75 and that particular post scores more then 40/50. The beauty is that I have a chance to earn from adsense. Earning from hubpage from adsense click ads with my main adsense account so i don't have to wait to reach a limit for making cash. single dollar from hubpage ads with my adsense.

Also nowadays I got lots of result in first page while searching for information. I also personally share my hubpage link in my blog that gives me more chance to earn from my blog readers...

So i hope we should not waste our time from ezine rather put our well written articles in revenue sharing sites like hubpage which gives me better control then ezine...

As a layman I would prefer reading articles on hubpages instead of ezine for the sole reason that I would be able to see a picture, a related video, maybe some amazon products ... so all in all an informative hub can be the complete solution to some1s problem but an ezine will be an old boring lifeless string of characters to the eyes....
