Hello,
I see a lot of recurring questions on Domain Name Forum. As a long term player in the Domain Industry, I decided that what i can do best to contribute BHW is creating a guide for all aspects of Domaining.
Sorry for any grammar mistakes, i dont think my English is good enough to create such a guide but i will do it anyway
(With your questions and contributions, i will constantly update this post, feel free to share your experience. At first it wont cover everything but if i see any attention at all, it will will be a really good source of information when i am done with it.)

B - Q&A Type of guide!
1. What is a premium Domain?
Long story short, a premium domain is actually a domain name which is already registered by someone. That is it.
It is called "premium" because if you want to use this domain name you must pay to the current owner of the domain. Most of the time it is more expensive than hand registering a domain name.
Honestly, most of the time these so called "premium" domains are not even worth to hand regging.
2. How to make profit by flipping Domain Names?
Buy low, sell high. That is the idea ofc. It is all about spending time, when you spend time and search through domain names you can find good domain names that are actually "premium" with cheap prices on them.
It is all about timing and being in right place at the right time; when domain owners need cash quickly they tend to sell their domains with really low prices, sometimes owners dont even know how much their domains worth. If you dig through domain names you will find gems eventually.
Also some domain owners just forget to renew their domain names, which in the end cause their domain names to drop and be available for hand registration. We call these domain names "Expired Domain Names"
3. What are Expired Domain Names?
Searching through expiring domain names and registering them as soon as they become available for public is my favorite type of domaining actually. But you must know that it is time consuming even with best tools out there.
In an average day, more than 100.000 domains(.com, .net and .org) expire and become available for public registration. There are tools that let you list all of these domains with filtres that you put.
If you wish to see domains that are older than 10 years and dropping today, you will get a list and search through them.
Most of the time finding a good domain is up to your filtering type. The more domain that you check the more domain that you will find with cheaper prices.
If you go and check only oldest 100 domains everyday that day drops, you will only see very high quality names and you wont be able to get any of them at all.
Why you cant get them? Because a lot of people will try to register those names as soon as they are available, more importantly there are backorder companies with huge rgistration systems just created for catching expired domain names. If you want to get such good names you must backorder them with a company that specialized in the area.
4. What is Backordering?
It is paying a company to register an expiring domain name as soon as it is available after its drop. You should backorder a domain if you think it is very valuable and trying hand registering it will be risky.
There are just a few backorder companies and i will list them under "TOOLS" section end of the guide.
5. Should i invest in New Domain Extensions? (.link, .world, .market, .click etc.)
What i am going to say about it is just my opinion;
"Absolutly stay away from registering new domain extensions for reselling purpose!"
First days of your domaining you will see A LOT of good domain names with new domain extensions are available for hand reg. If you start regging them, there is no end to it. Most of the time it is really expensive to renew these domains and you will end up huge loss if you invest in them heavily.
6. How to determine how much does a domain worth?
Lets say our domain name is potatomarket.com
Step by step;
a. Check other extensions if potatomarket.net, .org, .info etc. are available for registration. If they are all available it is more likely a bad domain name, if they are not available mostly it is a good domain. In our case visit namesilo.com and type in "potatomarket" and hit search. you will see how many extensions are available or not.
b. Check google keyword planner with your keyword and see if it is and exact match for a good keyword with high search volume or cpc. In our case go and check for "potato market" word or "buy potato" "potato store" kind of variations.
c. Visit estibot.com type your domain name, it has its own algorithm and will give you some idea about its value. DO NOT DEPEND ON ESTIBOT, ABSOLUTLY DO YOUR OWN SEARCH TO DETERMINE THE VALUE. Estibot free account lets you check 5 domains value per day for free.
d. Visit NameBio.com and check historical domain sales data to find if there are any sale with a similar domain with yours. In our case, check sales which starts with "potato" then check sales with ending in "market" and you will have a figure at the end.
e. Check if there are social media accounts under the name, in our case check for twitter.com/potatomarket, instagram.com/potatomarket etc.
7. Trademark infringements and domaining, you own c0cac0la.com and you want to know if it is jackpot!
No, c0cac0la.com wont make you rich, most likely after some time you register such a name it will be deleted from your account and you will end up with $10 loss. You cant get a refund in this kind of situation.
Avoid big companies trademarks, it is really useless. Even if you are a developer, after you develop a domain DMCA will warn google and you will be de-indexed in the and.
What you can do is you can find small-medium companies which use "companyname.net", if you get "companyname.com" for a small amount lets say 100 dollars, most of the time they will be happy to pay you up to $1000 to buy the .com version of their domain from you.

DomCop.com: Best tool to find Expiring Domain names with good metrics and backlinks. It is a paid tool.
FreshDrop.com: It is also paid but it gives free trial period. It is not really good but i like the user interface it has.
Estibot.com: It is a mixed tool, mostly i use it to determine value of a domain name as i described under evaluation. It is a paid tool, i think it is overpriced.
DomainTools.com: It is best tool to reach out historical domain ownership information. It is paid and i think it is overpriced.
Whoisology.com: A good tool to check whois data. It used to show other domains of the owner of the domain that you check but it cant do it anymore, due to new gdrp regulations.
NameBio.com: Historical domain sales database, they record every public sale with price and date.
LeanDomainSearch.com: Free tool to generate domain names with the keyword of your choice and that are available for registration.
