Hi, I have 2 EMDs similar to "iphone4.com" & "iphone-4.com" and wan t to rank them.

I have selected a few keywords I want to rank and they are the same kws but with the space in the middle or without it, for expample
free iphone4 - free iphone 4, iphone4 deals - iphone4 deals, buy iphone 4 - buy iphone4

The content for each site will be completelly original, but as explained I will be targetting the same keywords with the difference of the space between them.

I would like to know...

1) Do you recommend using the keyword in the post titles? that means the word iphone4 or iphone 4 will be repeated twice (one for domain name and one in title)

2) In other projects I am working on articles of about 700 words andf having the KWs repeated about 3 times... For this EMDs project do you recommend me to decrease that number?

3) Any other advice regarding how to best rank these two AMDs and not having the risk to be penalised

Thnaks!

Thank you for the advice, but you are suggesting I test two new sites with the risk of getting penalised from google. I don't mind testing but not blind! Thats why Im asking other people with similar experience two very simple questions to start the test on the right foot

I have a few sites that have the keyword in the url twice, they rank fine. Keyword 3 times in a 700 word articles seems just fine to me also. Embed a relevant youtube video along side it. All SEO comes with a risk on penalization so just go for it and try not to be too spammy.

Monitor your rankings and start with 5X 900+ words article for each domain. Build 5-10 strong backlinks. If you enter top 50-60 you probably can rank in top 10.

As far as I know, having a keyword in the title are chances to get your site to be ranked quickly. So, it's good, if the title having a Main keyword. Talking about body text, if the keyword is done naturally then that would be really great for your site rather than a fixed no of times keywords to be appeared. Hope, this helps.

Having the keyword in the title wouldn't really penalize the site IF it works into the post naturally. 3 times in a 700 word article is fine, but I would try and fit in 2 LSI keywords into the article if it makes sense.

Also with an EMD, be judicious with your linking keywords. I like getting higher PR links using the keyword anchor text and then using generic anchors with a sprinkle os keywords for most of your other link building.

Well, in terms of using them in post titles, in my experience it does work. Titles, links, headings and sub-headings are all given stronger priority by G, and the earlier the keyword comes in the title the better it is usually. So, "Buy iPhone4 Apps For Less" works better than "Where You Can Buy iPhone4 Apps" for example. As for your keyword density I think that's fine. You could even push it a little more, but it's good where it is.
