Hi, The best thing while creating anchor texts is to have diversity in the links. You need to build links with exact keywords, LSI's or partial links, or naked URLs.

I agree. There should be variety in the links you'll be choosing. Also, don't go overboard. Estimate what's enough.

I do not see any downside when performing interlinking within your own site - it's just telling or pointing the search engine to relevant content within your site.
If you see wikipedia - they have a ton of d o follow backlinks for their internal backlinking profile, and based on this data, it helps the search engine to provide relevant information to site visitors.
Well if you do find a side-effect, you can perhaps try setting a ratio for your internal linking profile instead.
