Great, another IM>school post, not like we've had a million of these before... At least this one was not as long as the others.
I will never understand why people hate 9-5 so much. I'm just wondering if it's really that much more fun to sit alone in your apartment all day in your underwear managing instagram bots or whatever than to get up every morning and go to a "real" workplace with colleagues to talk to. Oh well, guess I'm just not a pure bred IM'er...
More like: Spending 1 hour checking server stats because you've scaled your shit, then off to the gym, and killing time until the evening when you can go hook up with a girl/a whore/go the strip club/ chill with friends/get plastered/cinema/wander around.
Rinse and repeat with cultural adjustments as you travel the world!
9-5 has it's perks, one is you basically switch off Mon- Friday at 5pm and don't give a toss provided your wage hits your bank each month.
You go on your package holiday or whatever 4 weeks a year and get paid for it.
Flip is you're always answerable to someone else. You are there as long as they want you / need you / can afford you.
I came out of the military in 1989 and had 18 months enjoying life, then set up a bricks & mortar business. I have never worked for anyone else since coming back into civvy street, nor will I do so in future.
I don't sit in underwear, I wear whatever I want. I admit it's nice to go jump in the pool 4 or 5 times a day in summer though
