Ever been to Thailand?

I visited Thailand last year, and this is my absolute favorite shot from my time at Pattaya Beach, right near the Walking Street. Crazy people everywhere!

When I read or hear about Thailand, I remember things like the actor Tony Jaa, the movie The Hangover and men with breasts (if you know, you know).

Now seriously, I would really like to visit Thailand someday too, especially since I really like part of their culture. I even watched a lot of Tony Jaa movies, I learned Muay Boran for a while and I even studied the Thai language; the funny thing is that this was when I was a child or teenager. Do you have any recommendations for where I can have an experience like or better than yours?

I've visited Thailand three times, exploring Koh Samui, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Pattaya, and Bangkok.
  • Koh Samui: The Full Moon Party is definitely a highlight.
  • Chiang Mai: Perfect for outdoor adventures.
  • Phuket: Absolutely loved everything about it.
  • Pattaya: Affordable yet enjoyable.
  • Bangkok: A great place for shopping.

I miss those days so much—it's been five years since my last trip, and I’m longing to go back!
Wow! You've explored so much of Thailand. I'll definitely add Koh Samui to my watchlist! By any chance, did you see Muay Thai while you were there?
No. But I am planning to visit Thailand though. I think it will be affordable for me.
Definitely worth it—plus, it's budget-friendly with cheap beers!

I love The Hangover too, but honestly, only the first part! The only Thai word I really remember is "Sawadika," and I always say it with a smile.

My last trip was short—I only visited Bangkok and Pattaya. Bangkok felt a bit boring, just big city vibes, but Pattaya was amazing! Great sunset views and a nice foreign crowd.

On my first trip, I didn’t plan anything—I just figured it all out after arriving. But for my next trip (which is happening soon), I’ll plan everything properly. This time, I’m adding Phuket and some islands to my list as well!

Phuket is one of the best places I’ve been, especially if you’re into Muay Thai/mma

I visited pattaya and bangkok. Didn’t like Bangkok that much but pattaya really is very beautiful, atleast the sea beach. It’s like a fucking photo frame, i mean the beach.

But, I don’t really like the sex tourism that Pattaya is famous for. Sorry lol, I am a boring guy haha. I wish it was more “kid” friendly.
Pattaya is it then. Thanks for the infor.

I’m definitely into MMA too, but I couldn’t catch any Muay Thai matches. I did see a lot of posters while I was in Bangkok. Do Muay Thai events happen more in Phuket or Bangkok city?
I've always heard great things about Thailand. Hope to visit one day. :)

I know a few people who have relocated and are very happy there.
You’d definitely love it! But I’d say if you're in places like Pattaya, it's better not to go with family. It's more fun to visit with friends or solo.

Liar. You go straight to nana plaza after landing in Thailand. :P

Most people don't see the real Thailand except a few famous spots. It's a beautiful country, especially Northern Thailand. I like Vietnam more than Thailand though.

I've never visited thailand, but if I get opportunity to travel thailand I will definitely visit Thai..

Feels like to add Thailand in my Dream Country to Visit List.. , who and all coming with me ? Thailand 2026 :suspicious:

Agreed. I've only visited two major places in Thailand myself. Any specific places you'd recommend checking out there next time?
I have a plan. Let's see.
Good luck with it :)
Through my proxies yeah, lmao :D
I also like to visit different places with my proxies late at night :p

You’ll love it over there! I’m planning to go again this year. :)
I wanna visit it too but don't have money for that.

I heard you can get a massage there for about $5 or so. Is that true?
You can get a massage for even cheaper than that over there. Depends on the place.

No, my friend were more into girls, parties and hookah or outdoor adventures such as rafting, scuba, paragliding and tour to beaches.

Thai people are probably the kindest and friendliest people in the world. Their country is beautiful.

But the pollution they have is basically unbearable now. Feels like breathing in poison gas
