Entering and working in software development company with remote at home

Yepp I do exactly that to earn my bread. Don't search for an agency to introduce you.. Be good at your work and show it to the world, e.g. contribute to open source. You will be chosen by the company itself.

There are several "open source businesses".
Go for gitlab or discourse kind of project. It's open source with a big company behind. Want a job at discourse? Start helping 'em.
You can be active at linkedin, stackoverflow, etc...
But from what I know, there are some skills that have more chances from having a home office job.
I don't think enterprise tech such as java or .net is a good choice. I would go for python, ruby, nodejs, elixir, etc.

I worked as a remote php/mysql programmer 2 years, one client found me on freelancer.com and after first project i've done for him, he saw my portofolio and we started to work together.
