England is on brink of elimination... Not out yet.
I'm not 100% sure if I'm correct, but I believe England would go trough if they beat Costa Rica by 2 goals and Italy wins against Uruguay and Costa.

Personally I think he played better on the wing against Italy, yes he scored a goal tonight. 1st ever in a major tournament finals but I really believe he is better at setting up the goals than actually scoring them for his country. The cross in for Sturridge to score our only goal against Italy was spot on but he won't stay out there.
What do I know though, I'm just the poor pleb who gets his hopes up every four years for 11 millionaire pampered mummys boys to dash em!!!

To be honest I don't think we will even beat Costa Rica.
If Costa Rica play with the same effort they did against Uruguay, there's no way they will lose against both us and Italy either.
And as a born and bred Scouser and lifelong Red, I hate to say this - but Gerrard is starting to make far too many basic and costly errors.
I think Roy Hodgson should stay though.

Your right. The worst thing we could do is follow the premiership style of laying off managers after a poor performance. What England needs is some consistency and keeping Roy on is a big part of that. We have some great young players ready to take over from the old, so hopefully this WC will serve as experience for them. Bring on 2018.
