I continue to add more articles and comments on related blogs. Floating around 14-16 positions for every US state I check for main keyword. A few top 20/30/40 positions for longtails ~ 5-10 000 searches. It lost a few positions because I started a small bookmarking campaign - bookmarks from old accounts on top 50 bookmarking sites.

I apologize if I don't get you completely. You said about "small bookmarking campaign" caused your site to lose positions then said bulk bookmarking can sink new site.
How many of them do you consider bulk and small? All 50 of them?

My website/domain is only 6 weeks old. It has probably 20 000 HQ words of text but is still new. It is normal to lose a few positions if you point more than 20 bookmarks to so new website. But I've got 7 long tail top 10 results in the same time. Small = manual/semi-manual 10-50 bookmarks. Bulk - 50-100+ with one and the same title and descriptions.
High authority. For examples related blogs with pr 3-5 and almost no OBLs. Blogs with no or almost no comments, related forums,

How do you find these low OBL, no to few comment blogs?
I think finding the low OBL urls is the easy part, you can use scrapebox or other tools to find it.. but to get your blog comment approved by the moderator is the real deal here..

I have been sort of following your tactics as well, slowly, and I am seeing really good results as well. +REP for a great case study.

Backlinks - I slowed down the process because the website is new and wild pandas are playing around. So for last ~10 days - 20X blog comments on platforms with registration for comments and no OBLs or almost no (comments) exact same and very related niches. Not wp but blogengine and movable type. Commenting loged in as the FB page on related blogs with FB comments and related FB pages.
About the ratio I don't use the main keyword since a few weeks just on web 2.0s. According to ahrefs Main kw 24%, Mainkw- 18%, http://website.co - 18%, website.co - 7%

Long tails for which I am in top 50 has about 200 000 monthly searches combined
Yes it is WP site. Nothing fancy. Security plugins and noindexing to tags and archives

nice mate. One other question, do you have any sort of project management software or procedure - like how do you keep track of what you have done to the site and so on? if at all?
I just have a folder for each of my sites, and then I keep a record of my list of keywords, list of anchor text, list of services I used (not applicable in your case as you do it yourself I assume), backlink percentages and so on.
