I recently made some changes to an email scraper setup I am playing with. I rolled my own code and configured the servers myself. I like the challenge of doing it myself.
I will post my setup here in the hopes of comparing them to replies to this thread.
It should be noted that my efforts in scraping these emails from public search engines is whitehat in nature. I offer a service to check your email against my archive of collected mails. If the mail is found, it tells the user where it was found.
I rent openVZ and Xen VPS.
OpenVZ (grandfathered in)
8 cores, 1GB RAM (2GB Burstable), 40GB HDD, 1TB Bandwidth/month
Holds my databases for information gathering
Runs my email and proxy scraper connecting to database locally
Xen VPS

Holds database for Wordpress websites in a content nest
Runs article scrapers posting trending and news articles to mobile-themed website
