Hello,
My friend has a great shop selling electrnics on ebay. And he's got only one rival in the niche, but he's working unfair, dumping and putting too low prices, thus making my frined lowing prices too and loosing money. I need some advice to help my friend and destroy his rival. Black Hat techniques are welcomed:cool:

Lowering prices is not unfair. Even that guy wants to earn his share of bread and butter. It's your friend who needs to move on to some other niche, if he can't fight the competition fairly.

You are on the Black Hat Forum, so don't forget about it - I'm not interested in fair or legal white techniques - I asked for Black hat advice and I'm waiting for it. Hope some members have ideas, if you don't know what to do, don't bother to make me think I'm doing bad or unfair..I want to destroy the rival, it's all.
Waitng for your Black Hat ideas :D

No one here will discuss about how to destroy your rival. Blackhat doesnt essentially mean kicking the ass of your competitor directly. Get up more listing, grab more feedbacks and you will outrun him soon.

And dont you think your rivals will be thinking the same and wants to destroy your business in ebay? You cant really kick his ass, and if you do, some one else will be kicking your ass soon.

Money over integrity...huh....

This world would be a reckless and worthless place to live if all people think like you and lose their integrity. It's because of honest people like me and others, this world is a place worth living and you say don't bother. Get a life dude...

"If money is lost something is lost, if character is lost, everything is lost" You are a loser by all means with such an attitude towards life.

P.S- It's never too late to be a better person :)

It's strange to see such replies in this forum especially after numerous topics like "how to destroy comeptiotor's site" with hundreds of replies and advices and even studies conducted. I can't understand why you think to destroy someone's site is better than someone's ebay business, but still hope there are some real black hatters here, and as to the business, success often comes when you make something you would call "unfair" and I already have successful experience with comepetiotor's site, just wonder maybe somebody has ideas how to implement it to ebay...
P.S. And if you want to stay "moral" , work harder and earn less, it's totally up to you, it's only easier for to work black hat without rivalry;)

SO you use only black hat traffic techniques? nothing else? well I htink it's very limited understanding, black hat is far more wider notion and studies held on thios forum abot destroying competitors sites are also black hat, but as far as I see nobody from those who answered the theme has enough knowledge concerning ebay, so if you have nothing to say or don't like the theme you can just skip it and don't read any more, so no more moral please, just your ideas

The reason you are getting replies like you are is because people on here don't mind using all the tricks in the book to get the upper hand with large corporations like Google. However, most people can put themselves in the shoes of the person you are trying to "destroy" and realise it wouldn't be right to do that, and also that a thing called karma might bite them on the ass.

No more morals? Have a negative rep for that. :yumyum:

I think the better thing you can do is buy ebay so that you can control all the sellers. How about that?

A guy who doesnt care for morals, should atleast keep this in mind, that your competitor also might have a family depending up on his income. So what if a guy just ranking below you sees you as a competitor and then come here and shout about kicking your ass? Should we help him too?

As said before, try building up more feedbacks, extend to more products, make your service all better than your competitor and you are the winner. Or else, try buying ebay and suspend his account.

Actually it is the case and the competitor is from China, that's why prices are too low

If there is no like-minded persons here (though its strange, because there were many people here advising to hack rival's site for money) than I'll ask another question - is there a way to create fake ebay accounts and what do you use if any?

find out whether his pictures are copyrighted, find out whether he copied some parts of his description from other guys. If yes, report him to ebay. When i sold rapidshare accounts, i had some competitors who copied parts of my description. I reported them and 1 day later the listing was removed.

Negative feedback goes a long way. Nowadays with all the seller rating b/s, it is very easy to get your competition's listings down to page 32 lol. If they are persistently receiving negatives then their listings won't even show up.

You should of already had a few sleeper accounts for occasions such as these. Looking to create Bay accounts and then leaving negs, doesn't always work out. Newly created accounts and negative feedback, it's kind of obvious.

I used to sell certain digital items way back when, after a while someone decided they wanted a slice of mah pie. They listed items half the price of mine.

One nice thing was I was already doing it for a while, so my listing showed up before his and I had many feedback on this particular item. So people would usually choose my listing. Still, I was losing competition. You want to try and scare them off. Nothing illegal or life threatening, just paranoid and not wanting to worry something that'll make them quit. It is pretty easy to find out personal info on someone, especially someones Bay account. Usually they post the zip and town in the listing. When they send messages or their homepages sometimes have their names. Even their user name can hit some results doing a search. A pretend item buy will get their address or something you can work with using the big G.

Write up some b/s professional looking cease and desist letters, negative feedback the shit out of his account. But not stupidly or one right after the other(different ips of course). Write a review or start a blog or forum post about how he scammed, or sells used items as new blah blah blah.

If they search his screen name up online and it also has negative reviews on other sites about him. (Not all trash talking or sob stories) Just plain bad business techiniques. They are less likely to go to him and to look somewhere else.

Also, people usually look at more than one listing. If you offer incentives, extra accessories, even a 5% off coupon next purchase. Something that catches their eye and makes the people more likely to go with you. Or at least say: "Hey this guy seems more professional, or knows what he's doing."

I don't know, you are probably looking for something else. The question is hw much of a risk do you want to take?

Here is some usefull information from a wise member of the BH community:

Anyway, you have to remember, there's a difference between immoral and illegal. Most blackhat stuff is immoral, you just have to decide how immoral you want to be

going back to the whole morals thing, there's a life mantra that I live by religiously when it comes to "black", dishonest, scammy or shady tactics (whether its SEO, business, personal etc) and its as follows.

NEVER perform any of the above on any party that is your lesser or equal. Only, perform on:
a. larger parties that can afford it
b. larger parties that deserve it
c. larger parties that that fill both
d. lesser or equals that have wronged you.
