While I haven't made any sales with amazon yet I know I personally would buy an amazon product that had good reviews without much hesitation. And would never touch most of the products that we push from clickbank. That being said, people still buy them. And even if someone is twice as likely to buy an amazon product as they are a clickbank product, your only making 4-10% on the amazon item. Unless your niche has some expensive products you can push most people will make more money with the lower converting clickbank products. I talked to someone that was working with a good niche where he reviewed amazon products ranging from $300-$2,000+ if you have a niche like that you'll put clickbank to shame after you get your commission rate to 10%.My question is: Do people really buy e-books and guides from sites like this(even if i write a good article about their product, their website still looks bad and not very trustworthy imo)? Or would I be better of with Amazon and their "real" products but much lower rates? Also, would it be smart to use both CB and Amazon on 1 site? Thanks for this amazing thread guys!
As for using amazon and clickbank on the same site, I don't see why not. That's what I'm doing on the last site I made and ironically enough the clickbank product gets the most traffic. No sales yet but I have a clickbank product and an amazon product that essentially do the same thing, only the clickbank product costs twice as much. Yet for some reason the clickbank item has several order form impressions and the amazon product has almost no traffic. Good site optimization I suppose.
