Give me a week and I'm going to do a case study of a site I've been doing this with that's currently making about $200 a day.

It's a niche that I would bet no-one has tried, but is very profitable

I'll certainly be looking forward to that, meathead. Thanks for creating this for us here. I will give it a go. Getting very close to finally choosing a niche and getting set up.

I have a question for you and anyone else. Do you all avoid any clickbank products whose landing pages have a "free sign-up" for instant access even if everything else looks good? I read somewhere to avoid "opt-ins."

I'm also confused about how professional our review site should look. There is conflicting information in this thread even conflicting statements that came from meathead himself. I've seen comments go from "make the review site look very professional" to others that say "don't make it look like a review site."

Not trying to defend weight loss at all. It was just the first thing I tried and I happened to have some small success with it. Meat's last update is encouraging, I think I'll make a new site today with a niche that I'm certain no one has thought off as well. Better start it now while I'm still motivated.

Serious Question:

How many alert per day do you actually get?

I get less than 100 alert from forum a day despite the heavily searched keywords.

Thought id help you guys out (no i have no had any sales yet with this method "yet".. )

I recommend buying(-torrenting-) DNS( Dragon Naturally Speaking ) which is a program that turns speech into words it does miracles to how fast you can write comments that actually contribute to the blog/forum post since your not typing every word to word you wont hold back on what you have to say(type) so you will be able to actually contribute more while doing less.

How are you guys setting up the Google Alerts?

One alert per keyword?

I currently have it setup to alert (everything) based on a bunch of keywords (ex:blue canes, walking canes, wood canes, etc)

Not getting much alerts though....

Should I split these keyword into their own alerts?

No not really, I'm trying to get my head around the method as someone who doesn't know an awful lot, to you my question may of been the easiest question but you couldn't just say yes. I just wanted to clarify if I could just bypass the website making and review creating part. Silly me heh.

Thanks for sharing this update of yours, Darkrocker. More incentive to keep plugging away. I'm still in the set-up stages. I've got the alerts going, got a few other things setup. I'm still deciding on a review theme, and also still researching on how to choose the right products for any given niche. I'm not going to waste time writing reviews of bad products. So I'm taking a bit longer than most I guess to get started.

Mind if I ask how many domains earned this $100 of yours? I think this will be a lot of work with just one domain. Unlike many complaints earlier in this thread about lack of alerts, I noticed quite a few in just hours after setting the alerts up.

I see, the reason I wanted to ask was because my 'niche' is forever a moving niche and it's hard to keep up with it without writing 10+ review blogs a day, suppose I'll look for something a bit more time consuming and something that I can handle.

The cash in this payment came from one site. And the alerts really depend on the keywords you set them up with. Some of mine get 100+ a day some can get as little as 10 or less.

After 2 days of researching i found a good niche market (self help/health but not muscle gain or weight loss), but there is still one thing bothering me: Should I use Clickbank or Amazon? I'm saying this because Cb has much higher rates, but their products are almost all e-books and guides. And to be honest the sites selling these products are sh*t in my opinion and i would never buy from them myself (you know those typical 1 page sites with wall of texts, quotes, pictures and testimonies).

My question is: Do people really buy e-books and guides from sites like this(even if i write a good article about their product, their website still looks bad and not very trustworthy imo)? Or would I be better of with Amazon and their "real" products but much lower rates? Also, would it be smart to use both CB and Amazon on 1 site? Thanks for this amazing thread guys!
