Duplicate H-tags

Hi there,
Is it ever appropriate to have duplicate H-tags epescially H1s. I have two duplicate H1s on my website that I'm currently working on and I'm wondering if it will affect my rankings as obviously my H1 is important for that but I'm wondering if you have two identical H1s will it affect your rankings negatively?

Well, having multiple h1 tags won't hurt your rankings per se, as long as you are not abusing it (like stuffing your whole page with h1-s, which can be considered spammy).

But do you really need more than one <h1> per page? There are 5 more header tags that you can use that won't cause any sort of confusion to search engine robots.

Besides, it is always better to keep your website neat. Little things (like header tags, titles, alt tags) that are not harmful on their own have the tendency to add up quickly and then backfire.

That's what crawling tools like Screaming Frog or Netpeak Spider are made for: to keep your website "tidy", so that even the most meticulous search engine robot had nothing to find faults with.

Basically H - tag are increase your site worth, It's totally different for normal title tag Don't worry

Thanks guys, it's because the site is already ranking so I wouldn't wanna mess with that too much as I'm making changes anyway. Basically it's the design of the site that gave it the duplicate H1s, I'm just gonna change one of them to a H2 and work my way down.
