Duck Duck Go is Getting More Traffic

Google managers are very smart.
Search engine,Google chrome,Youtube,Maps,Gmail,Android.
Do you think someone can beat Google?

I think/hope at some point a new company (or maybe an existing) will come up with a whole new search engine, which will be a game changer. People are already moving away from Google...

So many people I know use Amazon as a search engine to directly search products. Also many people search on YouTube if they are looking for a tutorial, guide, review or something like this.

Yes we do that, but we are far from monopoly like google. Google uses its monopoly position to force ads on users. We give content to the users. So it is different.

What does that have to do with why they choose to protect their advertisers from low quality clicks?

Again, my response was in reference to your comment:

How ironic is that. Google policy say that we should be careful with the adsense placement as NOT to confuse the users with the ads BUT they are doing the EXACT SAME thing.

It's not ironic, they do this to protect advertisers. If they let everyone do the same, they'd lose advertisers and money. Majority of the ads they "force" on their users are somewhat relevant, and while they do aim to confuse users into thinking it's organic, it's extremely targeted and advertisers love the traffic.

Sure they're a monopoly, but when you make money, they make money. If it made sense for them, they'd make much more money delivering low quality traffic. They didn't make this rule up just so they can make a ton of money and you can't.

privacy is not an concern of majority so ddg wont win with google just like linux didnt convince the majority of computer users

It's hard for millions of people to switch operating systems, but it's trivial to switch search engines. All it takes is just browsers start adopting a different default search.

i guess yes. but bing search its still retarded and doesnt have lot of sites in index

What really burns my ring is even when using "inurl" and my search term it does not appear in shitty google - not even in the first 100!!! It is insane. In duckduck it shows as no.2

its actually same like telling people not to drink Coca Cola anymore. Its unhealthy, everyone knows it, but the BRAND is everywhere. They are just so deep inside the mind of the people... People even say "I will google it". They don't think before using Google. They just open it automatically, it became a normal thing. Same goes to Apple. Competition got much better the last few years, what is Apple doing? Instead trying to make the best possible iPhone 11 they just dont include 5G, they dont integrate USB-C charging etc. they are shit, people know they are shit, but they still buy the phones for lots of cash instead of buying better phones for less money. What I wanna say is: branding is extremely important.

It takes a lot to change this behaviour...these patterns. The Coca Cola comparison nails it...it makes fat, its bad for the health, its bad for teeth etc. actually its a no brainer to drink it or not, but people...MILLIONS of people all over the world are doing it.

And let me ask you one question: With all the data Google got about the people (I am not only talking about search queries, but also from Google Maps etc. they know everything) don't you think it would be easy for Google to analyse their users and to come up with changes, which would have a positive effect on the public opinion? Because thats what it is about: The public opinion about this company. These days we see lots of people, journalists and the government/congress throwing shit at Google, Facebook etc. which are taking some damage on their brand. But lets not underestimate them...they have all the data about us and they will use it to manipulate us (not in a bad way, just so that we have more acceptance for those companies)
