Dropshipping Journey to 50$+ a day

Hello! Some of you may have seen my other thread CPI+IG journey to minimum 100$ a day.
And some of you might think I "gave up" this thread. Actually I have been busy with some personal projects but kept making 10-17$ without much effort (even tho I had MANY obstacles). Now onto the dropshipping. I couldn't decide for a long time whether to start or not. I believe in this method and constantly hear people say how profitable it is, but at the same time I see many people fail and bash on the method. So I decided to give it a try myself.

I wanted to start the journey once I started to earn and then thought, heck, let's just do it the old fashion way and experiment while keeping you guys updated.

I finalized my website 2 days ago and created an ad yesterday for 5$. It got me 0 visitors and only 1 like on my post. Instead of waiting another day I decided to stop it and create 3 different ads with a 5$ budget for 2 days. Now let's see.

I just want to mention that I'm doing the good old method of having one product for free but they pay shipping, and then I put related products at regular price. I'm promoting on FB ads the free product.

I just want to say that this journey might be a failure since I have ZERO experiment with facebook ads but that's the whole point and I don't see why some could succeed and not me.

My 1st objective is to start earning after 100$ of testing.

Wish me luck lol have no idea where this leads me but that's gonna be fun hopefully.

Good luck, I think with your determination, you will make more money with dropshipping than with spamming instagram.

That is a shit method and many people won't like it.

I'd not do the free item / shipping fee method anymore, that's kinda old and seems to fail a lot more from what I see.
Try creating a new twist to it maybe?

Thanks for the support everyone. I don't know myself if the free item method will work that's what I'm testing it. Once again tons of people say it sucks and tons of people say it works so I have to test it myself to see.

UPDATE #1

I created my Instagram page for my store 2 days ago and yesterday I put it in the bot and started following people to grow it.

Also Yesterday morning I created 3 ads. Brought a few visits to my website (some came from IG), but not enough. Had a few share and likes but once again not enough. I'm testing so it's normal (even tho some have better results form the start).

Today I killed an ad even tho it's been up for a day because the CTR was shitty compare to the 2 others. I created a new one to replace it with a budget of 7$ CAN (5.60US) for 2 days.

The only positive thing is that I had my first abandonned checkout LOL. Can't believe I'm happy about it.

So for now I spent 25$ CAN on my ads and no sale.

I will start adding new products once I get sales but I want to add the safe payments thing that appears under checkout I'm just not sure which app it is.

UPDATE #2

So I killed my ads because the ctr were all bad and I decided to try until it improves a bit. No sales.
For now I spent 42$ on ads. I know I said I want to make a sale before reaching 100$ but it seems my ads were bad because tons of people make money after spending 20-30$. Weird because I was sure the target was good but I think that's what everybody thinks with their ads! So Now let's keep testing.

My instagram account is growing a bit and there's people reacting to my posts. I will create some pinterest accounts and twitter accounts to promote my store probably. I'm not gonna do nothing and wait for the fb ads to work instead I'm gonna try to bring free traffic too while testing.

Oh and by the way I'm getting a few visitors on my site like today I'm at 10 visitors but no one even reaches the checkout. I don't see why they would want to click and check the item and not see what is the shipping price lol!

UPDATE #3

I made my first sale! Woohoo! I woke up and saw that.


I only had 2.60 spent on this ad. What I did is I created an ad that was precise and once I saw some clicks I created another ad with the same settings just even more precise even tho it was too soon to tell.

Now let's see if I make more sells today I'm anxious loll.

I reached my first goal to make my first sale before spending 100$ on test, I spent 49.81$ in total.

Oh and by the way, yesterday the ad I created have a much better CTR especially the one that got me a sale. But those I had before which I spent the most on were shit lol. Thank God I didn't wait to stop it.

Congrats on your first sale, I started a dropshipping store also recently. Tried free+sh a little no success just lots of abandoned carts, but had my first sale on a product with free shipping recently. Look forward to following your journey.
