I am working on this trying to release it asap for WOO. However, I personally will continue using my AliDropship plugin with optimised themes and stable functionality. I have already tested it with WOO and I did not like it.
The main problems with WOO importers deal with data storing and presenting this data on a template.
When adding a product with variations, the WOO system blows databases greatly instead of using a more efficient solution. Especially, it affects shared hosting servers.
If you want, I can explain in further.
How WOO commerce stores data.
The main table uses wp_posts and metadata is addressed to wp_postmeta. When you add a variation, you need to create attributes and with AliExpress we have many of these attributes for each product.
Each attribute is registered as a taxonomy and leads to the increase of records in such tables like wp_termmeta, wp_terms, wp_term_relationships, wp_term_taxonomy.
Furthermore, a variation itself, is an additional record for wp_posts and wp_postmeta tables.
Now some calculation:
For example, I imported one product with 3 attributes (color, size, material). As a result, I got 12 variations for this product (it means 12 combinations of these attributes).
The number of records on database table will be following:
wp_posts - 20
wp_postmeta - 339
wp_termmeta - 10
wp_terms - 15
wp_term_relationships - 10
wp_term_taxonomy - 15
This number does not seem huge, but it is only one product with not many variations. If we import 200 items, the number of records will increase tremendously.
There is another issue with get data requests. WOO requests data partially using WP_Query class, instead of taking all data at once. Another requests are sent to wp_postmeta table for each variation.
So, in spite of all the simplicity of Woocommerce, your store will be working slowly and you will have to setup additional cache plugins and probably use third-party CDN for images, styles and scripts.
With AliDropship plugin we are using other tables for storing data and every table is responsible for a particular task. We do not use wp_postmeta table at all and apply only necessary requests for getting necessary information.

Anyway, WOO AliDropship plugin is on its way. It will include such features like:
- Importing products (with all variations) from AliExpress directly with one click
- Auto Updating system (stock, variations, availability, prices)
- Auto ordering system (auto-filling in one click)
- Fulfilling orders with tracking information
- Importing reviews
- epacket shipping filter
However, such features that are available with AliDropship plugin like Built-in Themes, Cash-Back System, Abandoned Cart, Email Lists, Live Statistics, Payment Gateways Integration will not be supported. You will need to use WOO plugins (you need to pay for good ones) to expand functionality.

I'm not a developer so I didn't understand well but I know a webdeveloper who I want to set up the store for. Do I use Alidropship with woocommerce or directly with wordpress? and where do I find a theme for it? The other question is what about payments? I'm outside the US and I can only use either paypal or Payoneer prepaid card does Alidropship accept Payoneer as a way for me to get paid and then pay for goods on Aliexpress? because paypal isn't accepted on aliexpress

AliDropship works directly with WordPress, Woo commerce is not necessary.
The themes come with the plugin.
Following payment systems are already integrated: PayPal, 2Checkout, Stripe, PayU, Authorize.net. Payoneer is not a payment processor and you can't use it as a payment gateway. However Payoneer is very helpful to withdraw money from your Stripe or 2Checkout account.

Will the features like 1 click ordering be on regular alidropship or even auto ordering like oberlo soon?
I see... so it's gonna be hard for me to benefit from the plugin because unfortunately in Morocco we have very limited choices for buying online. I won't be able to use Payoneer then, and I can't buy from Aliexpress using Paypal!! so my remaining choice is dropshipping from Ebay or Amazon so I can use paypal..

The auto-ordering feature is already there, now doing final testing. It will be added to the next release of AliDropship plugin.

When they order on shopify, you can click order on oberlo, if you have the extension installed on your browser, it will open aliexpress and add the items they ordered to a cart, fill out their address etc and take you to the order page where you can give it a quick double check and click orderI've used it and its by far the most useful app for dropshipping
Do they get an invoice from Aliexpress? Or can you only see your invoices online via aliexpress?

You can only see it, however you will need to include "We are dropshipping, no promotions or reciepts" In the notes box when ordering each product, Oberlo will also do that for you

It does not help much
AliExpress sellers often include something. But there is a good news - your customers do not pay much attention to it. I have processed thousands of orders already and have never had any complaints from my clients.

I am selling only the products that offer epacket shipping option. This option is free or costs $1-5 (I add this amount to a product price to offer free shipping) and always provides tracking.

Yes, you can contact a seller directly and probably you can a negotiate an agreement. But bear in mind, that this payment will go outside AliExpress and it will not be covered by its protection system, however, you can use PayPal protection... Anyway, you should be very confident on your supplier.
I see... but is it safe enough to order via Paypal directly with suppliers who already have many sales on Aliexpress. I mean for a beginner I only look into starting out with those suppliers who sale more, like ordering the items I want by number of orders and then contact the seller and see if they accept paypal directly. Thank you

Hi , dude , you can check MyChoice VISA Card , it's a card similiar to payoneer but a VISA , You will be able to withdraw your PayPal funds & then use it to buy from aliexpress , you can order it from MyChoice partners like Xapo or Spectrocoin , i recommend Spectrocoin , it cost 9$ & a minimum load of 4$ .
