Is dropshipping with Aliexpress, with Woocommerce/shopify still a great way to earn money in 2017?
As I want to start one in my own country, got my niche and products searched out. Only want to know from other peoples experience..
Does the long order time scare your customers away? (16-32days )

From what I've heard it is still going strong.
The long delivery will always drive customers away but there's still willing customers.
    Good luck!

Dropshipping is and will always be a good way to make money.

But the shipping time of AliExpress is can be a problem for some local markets. If you are targeting your local market, you can consider making some investment and stock some populat items for fast shipping. Also when you order in bulk you get a better price. Start taking pre-orders from your customers for a % of total price, that way they wont mind waiting for a while. If the price is very competitive then most clients will be ok with longer delivery time.

All dropshipping really is, is running a general store/department store. Personally, I would never dropship from AliExpress due to the shipping times and also the language barriers. I would much rather use Amazon instead of AliExpress, even if the profit would be less.

Dropshipping still works and will always work - Yea customers are upset that they receive their product after 2 weeks, but as long as you are selling good products you won't really have an issue other than having to deal with informing the customer not to worry and that their package will arrive!

Shipping time is 12-20 days with epacket.

Its still a great way to make money, some people make millions each year. But it's very difficult and requires lots of testing

Epacket is good, fast delivery speed, but they don't get Track and trace with it. Which is a bit less tempting no? As you don't know when your packet is going to be delivered.

If you find a good product/untapped market/niche, have your store professionally set up with easy navigation, and a sleek looking ad, yeah you can make seriously good cash. But that's the thing, getting those things are much easier said than done. There's been people who have jumped into dropshipping and have made great cash right from the get-go and there's been people who have been trying it for months and months and haven't made a cent. Don't expect a straight-cut answer.

From my experience there are some countries you can ship to where it gives you tracking information, even when AliExpress says it will not: like Netherlands, Sweden and Australia.

Are people using woocommerce and aliexpress manually fulfilling every order? Seems like it'll be a lot of work typing out all those fields for every order if you ever got to 10s of sales a day

It definitely is going strong. The whole Woocommerce vs Shopify thing is dependant on your long term goals. There are plugins that are similar to apps from Shopify, and you will save money in the long run. If you're looking at flipping your stores, go with Shopify as it is more user-friendly, easier to set-up and it will be easier to sell.

Yup, there's definitely a nice potential. The thing is, you need to choose your niche really carefully. offer your customers something they can't easily get in a regular offline store!
