Drive Traffic to Sports based Website?

I just launched my sport based website. I dont think there is anything similar to what our site does, but Im not sure how to get the site the traffic I envision. I have related social media pages for the site, and our Youtube gains a lot of views but it doesn't translate to visitors . Any suggestions on how to start driving some good targeted traffic ?

2.Get link from high traffic websites
3.Do email marketing to get visitors
4.Make attention in on page SEO

1. For a sports, people wants live update so you have to concentrate more on this. This is not an easy one but you can try you will get it "one day".
2. You have to circulate your website through popular social media persons through backlinks. this one is reach very important persons.
3. Main important thing is you have to frequently update image and content article daily then only your pages reach more traffic.
now a days all are having mobile phone with internet do some favor for children's because they are also more interested in sport .
4. You are already done good in social marketing and youtube but you have to think some new ideas for sport videos new update regularly for new peoples.

Try like this:

* weekly contest about sport related questions.
* conduct daily polls.

Try something different

Find the right audience....what do you offer and who'd be interested? That's the first step.

Then target that audience any way you can. Find email lists, find their groups, participate in forums, etc.
