Hey guys just want your opinions. Dr. Disrespect was a streamer on Twitch with millions of followers. He got permanently banned from the platform in June without anything explained by Twitch. When he contacted them they haven't state a proper reason for the ban despite saying the streamer has violated some rules and shit.
I have subbed to his Youtube channel long ago and now he also started streaming on Youtube and getting a very good response from the audience. Is it really okay that platform as big as the likes of Twitch just act like dictators and ban anyone without reason. I am not a fan of him or anything but just feels like its wrong and not expected from these giants. Also the amount of effort and production quality of his videos are really on the whole other level. People really work hard to achieve their goals and in the end the platform doesn't give a damn. gg unlucky:(

This is the reason why I hate being at the mercy of any platform who can make a decision and not have to say why.
A self hosted WP site and use platforms to drive traffic to my own asset or affiliate links is a bit safer than relying on platform like Tik Tok - look at them now - and others...
If YT get annoyed or feel threatened by DR Disrespect or are Disrespected (sorry!) then that is it - good bye dude.

you really have a very good point there.

he got banned for 1 reason money.
ninja and shroud went to mixer , so twitch gave doc a multi
million dollar deal to stay at twitch.

mixer closed due to low traffic after 6 months and shround
and ninja where payed off by mixer.

twitch realizing they had just payed doc to stay but the reason
they payed him to stay was to keep him from going to mixer which closed.

so they banned him as a means to try and get out of the deal
they made with him, as the reason for the deal was keeping him
from going to mixer, and mixer is now no more.

they are trying to get out of there deal with doc -- there using the
ban to break the contract, and even after 3/4 months twitch have
given 0 reason for the ban

so doc is taking twitch to court.

Mixer closed? Damn, i wonder how Ninja and the rest feel about going back to Twitch lmaoo.

why would they care, mixer payed of there full contracts as
they didnt break them.

Youtube and twitch have made it too easy to stream. No matter if I have 0 viewers or 20,000 viewers at a time I don't have to pay for the bandwidth and deal with the tech headaches by choosing YT/Twitch compared to if I self host my streams.

Ninja and Shroud already back to twitch :)
Even Shroud had a new Beard, he's online now.

he threatened a lawsuit but he hasn't said if he filed. idk. i think he knows why he was banned and both parties agreed to keep it private.

Yeah, big fan of Shroud. Ninja did a test stream on his YT. Maybe Twitch offered some exclusive deals to both of the streamers to get back on board.

What a time to be alive lol... They fight over gamers like over the real sports players... Shit is getting real!

@proxygo Isn't twitch owned by Amazon,
why would they break a contract for a million?

Dr Disrespect signed what was reportedly an eight figure contract with
Twitch this past spring to stream exclusively there. at least $10 million,

I don't see why they would do that. It's not like Twitch is a small company struggling to stay alive and desperately needed to save money. They are owned by Amazon and could literally operate at a loss for years if they wanted to. Probably not worth it for them to lose lots of traffic to a competitor and risk a PR desaster just to save a few million.

That's what I am thinking.

then why ban there top streamer a few months after he signed
a 10mil contract and refuse to say why. ?

its the same sht with streamers like alinity, shes broken every
rule on twitches guidlines, result - nothing

guys who break no rules or 1 minor 1, perma banned .
its been going on for a couple of years, twitch favors female
streamers now. just a sign of the times. woke

i remember when that woman chucked a cat straight over her
head live on stream - no punishment - she also fed vodka to her
cat live on stream - 0 punishment - stuck sticky tape over her cats
mouth live on stream - 0 punishment. twitch is woke asf

I'm sure they're pretty happy. They still collected the entire $10 million dollars from the Mixer deal and with that they get to return where most of their fanbase prefers to be.

ban anyone without reason

I don't think he got permanently banned without a reason. There might be different reason why this could've happened (content of him, content of donations, etc.). But I agree that someone at this size should get a proper reason as to why he is getting banned.
