Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom has been making the best of life under house arrest.

While awaiting a decision on whether he will be extradited to the U.S. to face piracy charges, the founder of the file sharing website invited a bunch of his followers around for a pool party.

All via Twitter.

User Ben Gracewood tweeted Dotcom, asking him whether he spent all day driving around on motorbikes and posing for pictures, to which the Megaupload founder replied saying: "Come over now!"

Mr Gracewood gracefully took up the offer and went round to his New Zealand mansion for a dip, along with two other Twitter users.

And to prove it Dotcom tweeted a picture of him with his posse, in the pool all on the hashtag #swimatkims.

"Wow that was fun," Dotcom tweeted, hinting that an even bigger pool party may be on the cards in the future.

"#Swimatkims will return for everybody," Dotcom tweeted. "Need a big public pool. Awesome DJ. Sound & Lights. Who's in?"

That man certainly knows how to make a splash.

Dotcom was arrested in New Zealand in January as part of one of the world's biggest copyright infringement cases after his file-sharing site Megaupload was brought down by U.S. authorities.
Prosecutors allege the piracy cost movie studios and other copyright holders at least $500 million in lost revenue.

The defense argues that MegaUpload and its officers cannot be held responsible for legal breaches by its users.

In April, the New Zealand High Court ruled that the FBI return $750,000 of his frozen assets including a Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG and Toyota Vellfire seized during a raid.

The extradition hearing is set for August

He knows how to have some fun.
I'm really curious if they find him guilty.

D.

The case of the US Government versus an Internet legend is falling apart and fast.

If Dotcom is smart, he will not take his legal success for granted.

The US government will literally burn $550 million dollars to get their man, if that's what they feel it takes. Their attitude is, money is not an object since the American citizens are sponsoring the tab.

Honestly, I hope his extradition is denied without prejudice. And I hope that he gets the rest of his databases back and sets up an even better operation.

BUT, if that dudes sets foot on American soil, he can kiss his az goodbye!

I love him, lol.

He took the bh way of thinking to a higher level :d

he is big player,i guess he get out of it any way.if he is really worried i dont think he will be hosting the party. There might be some good news to cheer,so only he is celebrating

If he wastes all his unfrozen assets on parties, how will he be able to afford to go to trial? lol
