Don't ever get married

100% true!
But after rain comes sunshine.
If you don't have kids together you can part after all financial sh*te has been dealt with.
In case you have (small) children it will take many years before you can cast the biatch out of your life.

You should try to consider your separation/divorce as a liberation, cause that's what it basically is.

Good luck

Thanks,
We have kids but they're old enough to be okay (teenagers).

I agree it is liberation, I'm not upset that we've broken up at all, it's been Hell living with her and her behaviour has been bad really, I'm just really fecking angry - especially since she's announced to me yesterday (via the daughter!) that I can no longer speak to her except through my lawyer.

That's going to cost an arm and a leg - but hopefully it'll be her who is paying, since she's forcing me to do that.

also true stories my best friend from college recent divorce too he now in US.... his ex wife is satan man..... right after they file for divorce she purpose bring guys back home in front of their children. she even text him saying she fuck other guy on their bed when he is out work. she even spread lie to kids saying he (father) is one at fault and cause of sadness for family and he have affair. she also get lawyer to lie in court for alimony monies. then when she take kids out (while still fight child rights custody) she bring her boyfriend and tellign them he is new dad and try bribe them by buying present and taking them nice place to ask them request court they want stay with mom. he so depress he nearly suicide :(

The secret to a successful marriage is to live in separate houses lol!

Agree with this. I ain't even married and never will also. I'm living together with my girlfriend right now and sometimes it's like hell. This is the first and last time I live together with a woman.

Seperate houses makes it much more interesting for both if you don't see eachother everyday. Oh and the pure tranquility if you are alone. Lovely.

My wifes name is Suzanne, so it does rhyme with Satan - and I'm pretty sure they're at least related.

Anyway the best advice re marriage was given by the great Jimmy Tarbuck who said "don't bother getting married, just find a woman you don't like and give her your house."

Unfortunately if you rearrange the letters of Satan you get Santa, hope no kiddies are members here

She's making out that I've twisted everything and she's done nothing wrong.

But seriously, how many husbands would be happy if their wife went to a works party, and instead of coming home at midnight as she'd said, she rolls in at 4-30am after going clubbing "with a group of people" because she "wanted to keep on dancing".

Both phones had apparently "run out of battery", so couldn't get hold of her to make sure she was okay (snowing like mad outside) and she didn't really want to say who she'd been out with, it turned out this "group of people" was her, a female colleague and 2 single men from work.

I don't really think that's on myself, especially after what's happened in the past. I'm at home with the kids, laid there for 4 1/2 hours worried about her so can't sleep - and actually she's out partying with some blokes.

But according to her - she did nothing wrong. She's 43 not 23.

Let me add some 1 tube sugar in this as per my experience.

I am a woman here who been divorced before 6 years ago and got married again 2 years ago. Not every woman will be same and not man will same.
We are humans and we are all different with our expectations, thoughts, advise etc. Both have freedom to do what they want to. If you both not understanding to each other divorce will be there. In understanding you need to be compromise, sacrifice, love, caring, satisfaction everything is required as per situation. If you expect something from your partner definitely same would be expect from your partner for you too. But both expectations would be different not same all the time. In that part you can't say she/he would be known of your expectation till you tell him/her. Because no one came to know your dream expectations or dream with your partner what exactly he/she looking for.
If your marriage is stand up on lie then it never ever be happy, while trying with all your efforts. So be honest with your partner and try to understand him/her and give him/her chance to understand you.

After getting divorced i decided not to marry ever in my life but i have to do that because only your partner will be there for you forever nor your parents neither your kids or relatives, frnz. They are going to be your part of life or your life forever but never be your life partner.

True but you have given her that chance in starting, if you stop her in starting then this day would never be come in your life.
Give her freedom but in limit and unlimit for some days which being be useful for her not being misused. As she having a life to enjoy her own life too.

So basically you are saying you are married again because your parents and parents/kids/relatives aren't your life partner and will not be there always for you? The most relationships aren't your life partner so why marry them? And why is marriage so important? You can happily live together without getting married if you ask me.

Marriage is expensive and the 50% (or more) on divorce nowadays also. Why not giving a big party for all the family and friends to celebrate you're happy together instead of the marriage? If things go wrong it is much easier to get out of it.

Basically my opinion as a child of divorced parents.

I was watching a video about it. A wise main said that you question marriage only between "18-35 age bracket" . As a child, you also wanted marriages to last, especially of your parents. When you are old, then also you value marriage and having a a partner.

A relationship involves 2 people so you probably were part of the breakup as well.. Take a hit and move on.

Sorry, don't have a clue what you're talking about.

I gave her the freedom to go to the party alone. I could have gone but I trust her to do what she says, which is come home at 12-00.

She knew I wouldn't be happy, but did it anyway.

Then a week later - I've seen her for 40 mins in the previos 50 hours, she's had 2 hours sleep, spent all day (from 4am) with her work colleagues, tells me she's coming home when they arrive back at work at 4-30pm - then rings me to tell me "a group of people have decided to go out drinking"

So I told her not to come back, packed her shit into garbage bags, and threw then onto the front garden.

Anyway, wjere's a good place (hot) to go for a holiday in October?

Greece?

Come on dude, don't be that guy. Be thankful that it happened and that you had a good time, be thankful that you have kids that are doing well.
Now you are a free man, you can go out yourself and party like a fucking rockstar, not caring about what your ex wife thinks.

Greece, Italy, Spain

No i don't have a kids that time but whom i got married having a daughter 6 years old.

I didn't say that my parents are not my life partner or relatives. Parents would be your life partner but relatives never be. You can trust on your parents but not on your relatives.

Yes there are so many divorce is going on these days because both having an attitude, ego, arrogance which they came up while talking to each other. If both left them then there is no place of divorce.
Here on BHW so many married men and women you'll get who are happy with there life partner. Well if you understand and keep in mind these words then you'll always happy. NO ONE IS PERFECT IN THIS WORLD not even you. But we are expecting our partner have to be perfect when we not getting this or our expectations going to spoil we come to the part of divorce.
When we speak on call we love each other because we never face each of them so we love and we want him/her in your life. When the actual part come and we are getting to known that his/her habits so we started not accepting them which we get results as divorce.
