I would like to launch a brand new website on a niche which was already used by another website with ,com domain name, but the keyword have good search volume and lower competetion. If i take a .info domain name with that keyword does it affect my seo ?

If i make good content and get some high quality backlinks can i rank ?

Using a .info domain wiill not affect .com domain SEO negatively If you focus on creating high-quality content and obtaining quality backlinks, you can still achieve good rankings.

The domain name has nothing to do with ranking, the most important thing is a good off-page and on-page SEO.
using .com domain is more trustworthy for some people but you can still use .info and rank your keyword if .com isnt available.

Usually, omain extensions doesn't affect ranking or your chances of ranking unless it's for ccTLD(country code TLD) for local keywords.

In your case, it won't affect your ranking but your site would seem like a copy of the original one. The other site would seem more authentic than yours. I don't recommend using the same domain name even if it's different extension. Rather user a different name or another variation of the keyword. You should also know that EMD(exact match domain) don't work as much as many think today. So you don't need to use that exact keyword as your domain name to rank.

Going ahead with .info of the exact same domain would make your site seem like a dupe of the original. Unless it's a churn and burn project and not something you want to run for the long term.

But original website (which is .com) is no more available on search results.

No, There is no relation between ranking and tld, You can use any tld which is available for your domain name. Make sure your content is engaging the users and make a attractive theme. Also take care of on page and of page seo. Your site will get ranked sooner or later!

Don't worry much about info or com. Search engines rank the sites that have better user content and information for the users.

As your keyword is less competitive, you can easily rank it. Check the strategies of your competitors that can give you some insights.

I still won't recommend going with the exact domain name unless the website isn't operational at all. Search is not the only way users find a website.

Another thing, you may want to use .net instead of .info. Wouldn't affect your SEO positively or negatively, but it looks less spammy than .info

Yes, you can rank a `.info` domain with good content and high-quality backlinks, as SEO depends more on these factors than the domain extension. However, `.com` is generally preferred for trust and branding.

Domain extension doesn't have any SEO effect. You can go for same keyword domain name (unless its a branded domain name) even its exist now, google will rank you if you do SEO better than that domain.

It won't make any difference as pointed out already,

But if you're trying to save some for the domain name, renewal price usually is higher than the "com" TLD,
The "info" TLD not as good for branding and many are use it for spam, so depending on the audience it could get you less CTR/CRs,

It's a small difference that's nothing compared to the total budget if you're willing to invest properly,
So, it could work, but not really a good idea for geniune projects, just get a regular TLD

.com is the best choice while .info or .net are the next best alternatives. Yes you can rank even with .info domain names.

Using .info domain won't harm your SEO. While .com is more common, if you create great content and get quality backlinks, your site can still rank well.

When it comes to choosing a domain, most people's first choice is .com. but If you're going to choose .info or any other domains won't affect your website's ranking. What really matters is creating high-quality content that resonates with your audience.

Domain extension doesn't matter much and it won't affect the rankings. Just ensure that your website has high quality informative articles and it provides more value to the users. Also, build links from quality legit websites with diversified anchor profiles.

Hello, sarath_unrelax. Using a .info domain will not directly affect SEO, as search engines place more emphasis on the content and optimization of a website. However, .com domains are generally more brand-recognizable, and users are more accustomed to typing .com, so it may affect click-through rates. If you can optimize your content and other SEO factors, a .info domain can still rank effectively.
