Hello!

I have a couple of questions regarding the domain age.

If i register it today, in 2016, is my domain 1 year old after 1.1.2017?

Also, does the domain age count from the day i bought the domain OR since i uploaded some files on it and indexed it on google?

Domain age is calculated on the date you registered it. So if you register it today (23-12-2016) it will be 1 year old at 23-12-2017..

Its just like your date of birth, if you were born on 31st December 1980, would you be 1 year old on 5th January 1981?

Domain age is absolutely useless. It has zero benefit for SEO. The only thing that matters is the age of the content itself. After the content on the site gets deindexed after either expiration or during transition period, then any age stops being relevant. Period.

Domain's age is calculated as your date of birth. For eg if you register in 23-10-2016 it will be one year aged on 23-10-2017.
