Doing SEO for an amazon product URL

Hi Guys,

Quick Question - Been trying to build backlinks to an amazon^dtcom product for a client and the SERPs don't seem to be moving. I've updated content on the page to match the KWs that we are trying to rank for and the incoming links also have been optimized for those KWs. I'm trying to figure out if its the backlink service that I am using that's the problem or is it because I have a an amazon link I am trying to move in the SERPs. Is there a bhw bh service that would work well with an amazon site?

Thoughts?

You need internal sales not backlinks. The more sales the higher the rank. Backlinks to a review page is a different story and what I would recommend if you have a good product.
 
Interesting. What do you mean by internal sales? I.e., people searching from within amazon itself? The product itself is selling quite well, but the client wants to speed things up a bit. Do you think I could get the review page ranked?
 
If you need to rank the amazon page in Google, then you have to use classic methods (building backlinks, social signals etc.). If you want to rank higher in Amazon, you need product sales, reviews and some other tricks.
 
The same techniques and type of backlinks you use to move your site up the rankings will also move your Amazon product page up the rankings as well. In fact, they will produce better results since Amazon is an authority site.
 
You jsut need quality links. It would be evene easier to rank a page on such authority domain.
 
Yep, the more products you sell, the higher your rank is on amazon.
 
Focus on getting more sales on amazon by OPTIMIZING YOUR PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS. This will cause you to rank higher not in search results, but in the sponsored section on the right. Eventually your product ad will be auto genererated by amazon and displayed under relevant search results on the right sidebar.
 
As mentioned above be sure to add as much relevant content about your product as possible. Reviews on Amazon help the product ranking out as well.
 
Want to Rank on Google or Amazon?

Here is the answer for both:

IF Google, build quality backlinks and social signal. You'll rock :)
And IF Amazon get more sales and take more reviews. You can also buy reviews from Fiveer or BHW market place 2-3$ for per review. And If you take only 10-20 reviews I think you will rock :)

Build some WEB 2.0's, point some URL shortner's - blast them with GSA, buy few SAPE links with exact match anchor. This will do the job.
Since amazon has very good authority, it won't give negative results using SAPE.
